It won't stop Reid from doing what he's going to do, but Cruz has shamed a lot of democrats through the night pointing out and proving that Obamacare is a real nightmare. As Drudge tweeted last night, Cruz, and Paul have seized the heart of the Republican Party.

This just in:

House GOP may attach Obamacare delay to CR

It still hasn't sunk in to the Vettebigot's thick skull that Cruz, a Republican, is fake-filibustering a Republican House Bill from being amended.

He's too dumb to know when his own party is pulling a fast one on him.

The republicans don't want Obamacare to fail, they just want to bitch and moan about it. They're getting paid on it, just like the democrats are from the insurance industry.

Lesser minds have to be told this technically isn't a filibuster, this is a public relations attack on the legitimacy of Obama care, a public exposure of it's failure, the failure of it's supporters, it's ultimate purpose to bring about a single payer (Marxist) system, and it's negative impact on the American people, their country, and their livelihood...and it's resonating. That is the point.

You are correct, this is nothing but a publicity stunt to further burnish Cruz's credentials as a 2016 candidate.

You had an opportunity to repeal Obamacare at the ballot box in November 2012. You failed. You now reap the consequences of your failure.

And I hasten to add, America becomes a much better place each time you and your kind fail. :)

I see that you STILL have no clue what Marxism is.

Double Down: Obamacare Will Increase Avg. Individual-Market Insurance Premiums By 99% For Men, 62% For Women
Avik Roy Avik Roy, Contributor

For months now, we’ve been waiting to hear how much Obamacare will drive up the cost of health insurance for people who purchase coverage on their own. Last night, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services finally began to provide some data on how Americans will fare on Obamacare’s federally-sponsored insurance exchanges. HHS’ press release is full of happy talk about how premiums will be “lower than originally expected.” But the reality is starkly different.

Based on a Manhattan Institute analysis of the HHS numbers, Obamacare will increase underlying insurance rates for younger men by an average of 97 to 99 percent, and for younger women by an average of 55 to 62 percent. Worst off is North Carolina, which will see individual-market rates triple for women, and quadruple for men.

FORBES lies

EVERYONE is WRONG

Only OBAMA is WRIGHT

NYT On Wendy Davis: “The Great Abortion Filibuster” – NYT On Ted Cruz: “The Embarrassment of Senator Ted Cruz”…

One is a rabid supporter of late-term abortions (which the majority of Americans oppose), the other is trying to save the country from one of the most hated pieces of legislation in history.

of course if he talked about

KILLING BABIES

FRONT PAGE NEWS

UPDATE: 9:24 a.m. Justin Green at the Washington Examiner pointed out that Cruz’s marathon speech is notably absent from the front pages of the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and other national newspapers.

Little Sisters of the Poor file lawsuit to stop HHS from forcing them to fund contraception coverage

In any other context, this would be political satire. Instead, it’s a tragedy for religious liberty and just plain old common sense. A group of Catholic nuns dedicated to social service — and, needless to say, chastity — had to file a lawsuit in Colorado to block enforcement of the HHS contraception mandate on their organization:

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius finalized a contraception mandate that ignores the fact groups like the Little Sisters of the Poor are religious organizations, according to a lawsuit filed to protect them against fines for refusing to comply with an Obamacare mandate.

“We cannot violate our vows by participating in the government’s program to provide access to abortion-inducing drugs,” Sister Loraine Marie said of a class-action lawsuit filed against the mandate on behalf of multiple religious organizations that provide health benefits.

Here are the employees of the LSP that HHS’ mandate insists have a need for employer-provided contraception:

Yes, these women certainly will be oppressed unless HHS rescues them by forcing their employer to subsidize their sexual activity.

Joel Gehrke reports that the Thomas Becket Fund for Religious Liberty has taken the case for the Sisters. The suit has been filed in Colorado, where the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals granted an injunction against the mandate on behalf of Hobby Lobby this summer. That’s a key for the Little Sisters, as Hobby Lobby had a tougher argument as a commercial operation for a religious exemption, and the precedent should work in their favor. In fact, the only reason LSP doesn’t qualify for the HHS definition of their exemption now is because LSP services people regardless of religious faith, as their Catholic mission to the world demands.

Becket senior counsel Mark Rienzl put it well to the Washington Examiner:

“These women just want to take care of the elderly poor without being forced to violate the faith that animates their work. The money they collect should be used to care for the poor like it always has — and not to pay the IRS,” he said.

Any law that requires a lawsuit to get to that common-sense conclusion should be thrown out, as well as the politicians that passed it.

Double Derp: Obamacare Will Increase Avg. Individual-Market Insurance Premiums By 99% For 27 year old Men earning more than 400% of poverty levell
<derp snip>

Yet another apples-to-oranges comparison.

It compares the prices paid by HEALTHY 27 year olds today to ANY 27 year olds tomorrow, gives lip service to the federal subsidies and then ignores them, and pronounces Obamacare a failure.

Notice how the author never indicates the out-of-pocket differential between the two scenarios, because the hard number difference usually ends up being in favor of the new plan.

And let's not forget that less-than-healthy 27 year olds have exactly ZERO options under the old system.

It's an intellectually dishonest article, so it's prime cut-n-paste fodder for ignorant bottom-feeding America-hating trolls.

And it doesn't matter if individual plans are going up 7,000% because excanges are replacing them.

Oh look, Exchange prices in Ted Cruz's home state of Texas just came out and are well below the national average.

TEXAS RATES BELOW AVERAGE

The data is mostly based on 36 states where the federal government will operate the insurance exchange. About 14 other states and the District of Columbia are running their own exchange.

Politics aside, states with the lowest average premium tend to have more insurance companies offering plans, the report said. It said eight issuers on average were selling plans in the states with average premiums in the lowest 25 percent, while states with average premiums in the top 25 percent had only three insurers on average.

Texas has been among the Republican-led states most fiercely opposed to Obamacare, but its monthly rates came in below the national average, HHS said. In Austin, Texas, with 76 plans to choose from, a 27-year-old would pay $169 per month for the lowest cost mid-tier plan. In Dallas-Fort Worth, with 43 plans to choose from, that price was $217 per month, the report said.

"The rates in Texas are looking good," said Gary Cohen, who is charged with overseeing the exchanges at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

76 plans to choose from in Texas, so much for Vette's narrative that there weren't enough plans. Reality crushes conservativism yet again!

MOTHERFUCKING COCKSUCKING NIGGER DEFENDER

YOU DIDNT FUCKING READ IT

YOU ARE A FUCKING LYING SACK OF PIG SHIT!

Obama is an absolute fuck up...

The recovery is jobless....wall street is doing well but this is fictional money (think about it)

The unemployment numbers go down...due to people:

Giving up
Retirement
going on welfare and cash bater economy

Dick and rob....stupid ignorance fucktatds living the cuckold obama entitlement dream...

Ive never seen either post anything of intelligence ... only welfare bullshit

If you don't like the rates on the invividual market then buy on an exchange. The exchange pools risk among a mega-large group instead of the stupid economics of individual plans.

If you want to have a conversation about rates then let's look at exchange rates that are actually published.

If only the wingnuts had been this fervent in their opposition to the patriot act...

It started with 9-11
stupid people like u bitched about privacy...

Then Act II came
and your welfare ass partied...
Cuckold obama put it on steroids and make the nsa into KGB and stupid people like you cheered

Merc, I realize you are a simple person without real world experience. Why have you been so afraid to take a real job or one in leadership?

Doesnt being a sheep become...old?

I have been buying my own insurance for years. I found out this morning my premium will go down by about half under the Affordable Care Act. Aptly named plan I'd say. Thanks.
