One kinda sucky thing about being in a new game. I have no clue how to do certain things.

I am a botanist. I need to find a level 15 tree to harvest botany things from.

Does the internet know where that is? No. What am I supposed to do, explore? Find out for myself? Nevah!

We were looking for a "Boss Fight" T-Shirt but we couldn't find one, but my son picked out a few. One has a picture of a Nintendo original console that said "Classically Trained" and an Adventure Time T-shirt that says "Who wants to play video games?"

I liked the one that said "A Girlfriend Is No Substitute For A Video Game" and I believe I just agreed to get a tattoo with Ulaven, like the guys in Supernatural. We're getting temporary ones first.

I'm gonna check my pc but odds are it'll be the ps3. Now to just convince myself the fee is worth it

I haven't played a Final Fantasy game since I clocked 99 hours in FF12. Seemed a good one to go out on.

Recently I've been catching up on my steam backlog so after owning it for almost three years I finally fired up BioShock 2... to a resounding "meh." I loved the world of the first game but wasn't OMGWTFBBQ about it like everyone else seemed. This one is more of the same, only lamer since they made an action game then gave it the gameplay of an RPG.

These two things are incompatible, people.

A buddy of mine keeps telling me I need to play Hitman: Absolution. Any thoughts on that one?

I've been severely lacking in my FF playtime too. I just thought 7 wasn't that great and then 8 was a big disappointment so I kinda... stopped. I've got 0 disposable income right now so I've been retro gaming like a madman. PS1&2 era. Forgot how fucked up Indigo Prophecy is.

I couldn't do Bioshock either, any of them.

I'm pretty firmly in fantasy. My favorites bear that out.

I suck at FPS. Sorry!

Convince me to buy the new final fantasy. I need a reason to justify the fees.

Okay. I'll be unbiased and do a critical review.

Final Fantasy tried a previous game with the same premise, and it was a failure in my opinion. The idea that one character can do everything is awkward in its execution. The interface is kinda clunky and the mapping is terrible and the tutorials are next to useless. I am constantly having to destroy or sell things from my inventory that I want to keep for use 'someday" when I get another character that's level 1 in the game that can use a magic wand. But I can't keep full sets of gear for 25 characters straight in my inventory with limited space and no sorting and essentially having to mouse over every single piece of gear to see if it applies to my class/level.

BUT. It is a great game. It's funny, it's smart, it's convinced me to play straight through for a few weeks and not want to go back to my other established games, and that ain't nothin'.

However, I DO know I will go back to EQ2 because by the time I burn out on getting to level 50 25 times with insufficient alternative quest lines to get through all that without grinding, I will get bored and wander off unless they fix some of the issues.

So...there's a free trial period, if that's still available, grab it, spend some time, and see if you want to pay the fees. I think it's worth buying because it's good, if limited, and it has the possibility to be around for a long time and tweak itself into becoming a revolutionary, innovative game.

For me there's a lot of fun content and I have a geekgasm over seeing a companion that is called "Demon Brick" with no explanation. It looks like a square cut piece of marble that has teeny tiny legs and wings. It falls over and adorably tries to get back up. I'm in love.

If the fees fix tue bugs and add content then I cam handle it. If its just server upkeep and then I have to buy expansions then it might be tough.

One of my problems with mmos is I get in to late and get bullied sense I'm a easy target.

This is very early days and as far as I can see there's no player vs. player at all.

The main quest line requires that you go through dungeons with groups, but they have an excellent group finder. At least if you're a healer or a tank. I started in a roleplay sense with a tree-hugging elfy healer and I breezed through with thanks and joy. He had a DPS (most people do) and had trouble. So doing the main quest with a healer or tank class is a good idea, Ulaven switched over to a healer and breezed through also.

I have all channels off because there's a river of gold spammers (gil spammers) and they have no real good system (like right clicking a name) to block them. They just have a system where you manage menus and then type in the name of the spammer and confirm, in more time than it would take the spammer to disappear and make a new name.

Newbie is also entirely relative because you can be level 50 in one class and starting to raise a level 1 from scratch. So "newbie" is not as apparent. Yeah, you can tell when someone's completely naked because they have no gear sets to change into, but some people also just go naked in a mog hat for fun or their own reasons.

If I remeber right the woman who ran the guild was also s mod. For some reason she took a liking to me. If I was being harassed mine enemies would become ash. It was nice.
