Vailyn's Isle

Yay, company! What's your poison? I'll make you one. I think we should kidnap the Quinn players and make them come party on my Isle! :D

*scratches Katt's back*

Hmmm. *bows head and accepts scratches. Loves scratches.*

I'll take whatever you're drinking. You made some fun stuff last time.

Yah. Much better than making a new thread. Party on the isle! Woop!

In honor of being gals and no dudes in sight, I shall make us shots of Blowjobs and a new one called the Nutcracker! *grins*

Yah, this place is great and totally amazing. You can find almost anything here on the Isle.

*makes the shots and lines them up* What should we toast to?

Blowjobs are fine with me. I've been known to crack a few nuts too. :p

Well, I can't wait to get naked and go for a swim. Looks like a perfect place for that stripper dance off.

*eyes the shots curiously.* Toast, hm? Good question. Long life to our threads, the characters have a shit ton of personality and potential, I say.

*Points at the Blowjob shot.* That'll be with your toast.

The Nutcracker, we will toast to inventive & very imaginative exploits that will make 'em raise an eyebrow, shout out loud and pray for more!

Say Halleluiah!

*clinks, drinks* *clinks, drinks*

I go skinny dipping in the sea all the time! Or up by the waterfalls. There are grottoes and hot springs. You should try out the natural mud bath and then sit in a hot spring and follow it up with food and lazy run in the sea. Hehe

Huah. Sounds good!

*raises the drinks and clinks, downs them one by one. Sighs and smacks her lips.*

Mmmh. that's the shit. More of that and I won't make it past the front steps. I mighta mentioned I'm a cheap date. *hiccups*

I might need a pretty face to rub my shoulders while I soak too. Hm. That's what this place is missing.

Non, both autobiographical the first book "Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument About Being Born Bad and Damaged Goods" is about him and his world views. The latest "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven" is about his paranormal experiences and how he approaches the phenomenon as an atheist. I haven't read his first book, but picked up his last book. If you like reading about people's experiences like I do then I recommend.

I'm putting myself to bed. Night. Sweet Dreams. :)

Sounds like an interesting read! What did you think about it?

Dancing

I've always danced in one form or another since I was a kid but I was drawn into partner dancing in 2005 and fell in love with it. Lots of fun! Here are some videos of dances that I enjoy watching and a taste of what I enjoy doing.

West Coast - Jordan & Tatiana

Urban Dance Camp - Keone & Mari to Dangerous

Balboa - Mickey & Kelly (Bal is usually danced to Jazz but it can be like this too. Showoffs!)

Blues Solo Cutting (Prelims) By Friends

Lindyhoppers Playing Around

Lindyhop: Silver Shadows - Dance Tribute to Frankie

Lindyhop Champs - Nina & Peter (Being Silly)

Lindy - International Champs Having Fun

Blues Solo Routine by Dexter

Slips in to watch a lovely one dance. Smiles. Waits till the song is over. Nice jut box.

Actually out of curiosity I'll been looking at all of your sound tracks. And while I'm not a huge fan of some of them I haven't seen any that I don't like so far. Be for you talked about dancing I was just going to say nice tunes.

Ahh~ What songs do you like? I tend to listen to a wide variety but usually listen to rock/alternative/rockpop.

The reason why I asked about dancing is because I posted dance vids today. =)

I dance for fun. Sometimes compete.

That's why I said I came in to watch you dance. I checked them out before I posted. As for music I like... Add classical, country (mostly pre 2004), epica, opera(from time to time) i like bands like Birthday Massacre to Bruce Hornsby and the Range. I have a wide range and rather eclectic. Not a fan of rap, industrial, hard metal

Did you like any of the dance clips? I am not in any of them. LOL! Though I do know most of the people in them. =)

Yay for variety in music taste. It's the way to go.

Do you cook? Cooking experiments is another thing I do a lot. One of many, heh.

Oh so your an experimental kind... Grins. Yes I cook some. I found them interesting the videos.

A long long time ago. When I was young and cute I use to square dance semi pro. In Italy and California.

That's pretty awesome. =)

I've competed in Lindy & Blues. I haven't done anything in the other dance styles. Mostly, I dance for fun & the music. Though I've been known to help run an event, organize or photograph too.

Feeling the need to touch the sky, I pull a short sleeved shirt and tan capris over my teal bikini. I pull together some water and fruit into a shoulder bag and set off to hike on the mountain. Passing by some of my favorite hideaways on the island, I pause at each one. The wild orchard that was planted here way before I ever stepped foot on this tiny piece of paradise. A hidden glen of grass in the middle of wild jungle bushes and leaning treetops. The smallest waterfall known to man. Just a few feet tall but utterly adorable fall of water that pours into a small pond. I have a feeling that it's connected to the underground water system that riddles the rock I love to call home. Maybe I'll find a way into the caverns one day.

It takes several hours of hiking a trail that only exists in my mind's eye to reach the cliff edge that I love. The lush green life stops several feet from the edge. The hard gray, layered brown rock unwilling to give any purchase. A gorgeous view of the isle sprawled beneath me. Endless blue skies wrapped around the small volcanic island I call home. A breeze comes to say hello and tease my hair into playing with it.

"If only I had a zip line here to race down to the ground!" I laughed with delight at the idea. There's nothing like the rush of motion pressing against your skin, forcing your body into whatever you're resting on, and, if there's nothing, then it's just the hush of your body against all that force of motion and gravity. Wrapping one arm around my bent knee and letting the other dangle over the edge, I dwell in the peace of home and let my thoughts ramble in fleeting tangents that no one would make sense of.

I've never tried to do some of the things I did as a kid. Now I slow dance and a few other form when my knees let me.

Cool about Lindy & Blues competitions. But very cool about helping run things and photography. But best of all is to see someone dance for themselves. For the pure joy of dancing.

Yup! I'm a firm believer of doing things because I enjoy it.

I call myself an experimental cook because I'm usually trying something new in one fashion or another. Do you follow recipes? I use them as very sparse guidelines if I do read one.

Actually I do all of my cooking by taste and instinct. Mostly Italian style dishes.

Hi hi! I took a couple of days away because sickness and a busy work scheduled demanded.

I have finished the book ... I've read the first chapter or so... it's one of those kinds of books I like to read when I'm bored or want a scary story, but so far so good. :)

Welcome back! Hope you're feeling better. I hate colds. I get one and it lingers like a leech. Everything else I can kick to the curb but minor colds are annoyingly tenacious.

Was it actually scary? (Sidestepping) I was really excited to watch a good horror movie the other day. Then I saw two in a row! Amazing! It's been a while since I've seen a good one. (Back to book.) I love to read a good book. Well, I'm reading more story threads now but still.

I love a good book too, but I haven't read a whole book in ages. I tend to read short stories online or sometimes a thread here. I'm trying to work it back into my schedule.

As for the book... well, if ghost stories, paranormal accounts scare you then perhaps I don't recommend this book. I eat the stuff up even though it does creep me out. I've had my own experiences growing up, so I love to hear or read what other people have experienced.

Want a drink? *settles into the cushy bingbag floor seat*

I can tell when a place is haunted. Sometimes I can tell who it is or why they're there. My family used to have a ghost follow us from house to house. It eventually left but I'm not sure why. I think it was an ancestor.

One of the cooler ghosts I've felt/known is a bride that died and she haunted the basement of a friend's townhouse.

What about you? I love this stuff!
