It's not a brand new computer, but it is new to me. Internet Explorer on it is outdated and doesn't work right. It has Google Chrome, which is the browser I have been using. Got a wild hair up my ass tonight and decided that Chrome wasn't what I wanted to use, so I tried to update the IE. BAD idea. We could get onto a site, but it wouldn't let you progress pass the home page.

2 hours, and lots of "oh shit, what did I do?" later, my son managed to remove all the bad programs I installed and get the computer running properly again. It's still not looking like it was before my fuck up, but at least it is functional again. System restore wouldn't even work.

Used to think I was smart, but when it comes to computers, thank goodness for 18 year old boys who outsmart their mamas.

You went BACK to Internet Explorer? You're braver than I am!

I have a mutual fund acct that updated their terms of service to say that I HAD to use IE (I use Waterfox.....64bit Firefox...on a daily basis). Sure enough, they've blocked non-IE now. Fired up IE for the first time in forever and was amazed at the sheer number of ads they stuff onto a page.

I was wondering about Firefox, but something in me just had to fuck around with IE. Broke one of my rules in life which is "don't fuck with shit you don't know about."

Never, ever, load IE, no matter what!

Chrome, Firefox (32bit version), Waterfox or PaleMoon (64bit version of Firefox) but never ever IE.

I would go with Safari or Opera over IE.

If I could, I'd delete IE, banish it from my computers.

IE sucks and is always three or four version behind everything else.

I'm becoming aware of that now. I really don't know what possessed me to try and download it, other than thinking it would be easier to navigate than Chrome is. Right now everything I type on the home page goes to a damn search engine, and I hate that.

That's the beauty of Chrome, if what you type is not a URL, then a search list is displayed on Google. You'll get used to it. Chrome will also display a list of past URL's or search items for you as you type. Then lastly, the new tab page will display the sites you have visited most.

Chrome is like bow ties, cool.

Don't use Chrome. It makes the NSA look like a bunch of disinterested Amish people.

Use Firefox or one of the user versions.

And for god's sake don't use Internet Exploder.

If you have ANYTHING with Microsoft on you need this!

Set a restore point first and always back up the Porn and Pic's!

I use IE and don't have that much trouble because I use their shit to spank it's ass every so often.

Isn't it time you get a new av? You surely look way older than that now. Some chicks dig old men like you.

In other words, you use Windoze. Don't feel bad, most morons do.

Excuse me?

And for the record, IE is not as bad as rumored, sheesh. As with all programs, settings make a heck of a difference.

<-- Unapologetic Windows Fan Gurl.

I don't know. Hard to read. Two lines would read on one.
