Apart from teachers, friend’s mom's, the discovered dumped adult magazines out near the woods, my first real masturbatory pleasure was fantasy art women and to this day they always bring a smile to my face.

Well that's a relief!!!! Was starting to wonder about my taste.

When I was in my teen years our local library refused to stock any of the For books because of the covers, even the Conan ones were defaced with a black marker if they thought it was too sexual or demeaning or just to violent.

I assure you that you are not the only one. I have the same initial reasons as you describe in your original post but was never too keen on fantasy, prefering the more realistic. I moved on to creating my own images through photography. During my years in college, in the late '60s, I became quite good at photographing the young female form. I became quite skilled at other useful activities, too.

I do photography as a hobby as well as a part time job. I used a lot of the art I grew up on trying to recreate them in front of the lens, I probably still have the negatives somewhere I might have to dig them out.
I drew a lot too real life, comics and fantasy art something I realised the other day I have not done in almost twelve years I might pick up some pencils and see if I still got what it takes. Who knows if it is good enough I might post it here.
