I'm really sick and tired of people referring to Trayvon as a "child." We put these "children" in the fucking Army. Street gangs all over the nation are killing citizens every fucking day, many younger the Trayvon. The truth is Zimmerman was politically charged, after the police found the shooting to be self defense. They determined the evidence showed that Trayvon was the aggressor. Politicians all the way to the top believed he needed to be politically tried. When you have big fucking liberals like Geraldo Rivera saying the same thing right now, you can believe it. This was a disgraceful political show trial.

We put a 17 year old in the Army when? I thought you read The Constitution.

Based on all of the evidence presented at trial, the jury thought the totality of of the defendant's testimony and statements were true. Why should I doubt him? We shouldn't be naive either Phelia, we've all seen the text messages from Trayvon, that weren't allowed at trial. They tell a different story about the likely demeanor and character of Trayvon Marten in real life, it's hard to be respectful. Trayvon Marten disrespected his own life and threatened the life of another. Let us remain in this world.

Noooo, they absolutely did not. However, they did not believe that the prosecution had proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was acting with hatred or spite for second degree murder or without legal justification for manslaughter, and it's impossible to prove that he wasn't just acting in self defense. It's also impossible to prove that he was, and neither testimonies nor evidence painted a clear picture of either. Were we even watching the same trial?

You're seeing exactly what you want to see and you are being disrespectful. And his name is Martin. It's all over the news. You're disparaging a dead kid's name with something that can never be proven, and you need to cut it out.

As more facts come to light daily the picture of Trayvon Martin that is forming is considerably different than presented in those 5 year old photographs of a baby faced 12 yr. old.

And the picture that is starting to emerge concerning Zimmerman is not quite the gun happy racist we were led to believe in the initial stories.

So, what is justice for Trayvon?

And indeed it seems that never bringing this case to trial would have probably been the wisest decision all the way around. As much a tragedy as Martin's death was the aftermath of this trial may turn out to be the biggest tragedy of all.

And for those shooting their mouths off about, "after all, it's Florida." Seminole county is basically a bedroom suburb of Orlando populated with mostly white collar professionals who relocated from northern states. Real honest to God 'crackers' are so rare that if they were animals they'd be on the endangered species list.

A jury of his peers tonight found him NOT GUILTY, and I believe the justice system did right by GZ. Every human being, regardless of who he or she is, has the right to defend themselves when they feel their life is being threatened.

I know this verdict was a terrible blow for TM's family and I can't imagine what they're going through. It has to be the worst thing in the life of parents to lose their child. I pray someday, somehow their grief can be lifted as much as possible so that they can begin to put their lives back together.

Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Mr. Obama did their best to make this a politically charged, racist issue. It's time for the people in our country to wake up and realize that there is black, white, red, and brown people in America. We should all live together in peace and harmony and not try and make everything a racial episode. That is just one of the many bad issues dividing our country. There is no excuse for this.

Of course it should have gone to trial. I will say that it should not have been made a spectacle, but absolutely it had to go to trial.
