He won't just whine. He'll order a federal charge of violating TM's civil rights, so the federal government can waste some money trying to shaft somebody. TM did not have a "civil right" to be in that gated community, nor did he have the right to assault the Neighborhood Watch captain who was watching him. He wasn't trespassing, but he also was not established as a resident, which made him a suspicious person, and somebody to check up on. Z would have been derelict in his duty if he hadn't.

Towards the end I honestly thought they might be swayed more by the testimony of Marten's parents and feel compelled to come up with some kind of punitive result. When I heard they wanted an explanation of manslaughter, I was even more swayed. As I said, I was wrong.

Emotion was guilty. The law was absolutely not guilty. The law won, but it doesn't mean GZ was without guilt.

We shouldn't be naive either Phelia, we've all seen the text messages from Trayvon, that weren't allowed at trial. They tell a different story about the likely demeanor and character of Trayvon Marten in real life, it's hard to be respectful.
