If you've a friend who owns the shop, then, yeah, you can pretty much do whatever the owner will let you get away with! Back in Tampa, I was good friends with just such a guy/shop. My gf and I used to go in and pick out what we thought would be fun. Often, he would suggest things that we never would have thought of and he was usually right! All he asked, in return for our consistent patronage of his establishment, was to watch if there was no other customers. And because we always went late-night, he got to watch us try all kinds of fun toys!
