Romney Pulls Ahead

I'm thinking that the nuttiest will come from the angriest, so I will throw my vote to Vette. He seems to have the deepest well of hatred for Barry and Michelle. Gump will claim he voted for Obama to teach the Libs a lesson, so he'll just post a bunch of shit from Mises.org, who seem to be employing him as a porno board shill.

Koala will just follow Vette around, posting market downswings with glee even though he's probably losing money at the same time.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I wonder how they explain away the Fux News poll that puts Obama ahead.

Usually, they just shout...

that....That....THAT'S DIFFERENT!

Then they change the subject, or in the case of Miles and/or Vetteman, they start talking about my cock.

This is his form of logic???

Allow me to get personal for a moment. I lost my job because of my disability in July 2011. At that time I also lost my insurance. That October I went to a free clinic after spending weeks vomiting blood. The free clinic sent me immediately to an emergency room after telling me that “it sounds like stomach cancer.”

At the emergency room they gave me IV fluids and SENT ME HOME.

They did not do an endoscopy. They did not do blood work. They did not do an ultrasound. They did not even TOUCH my abdomen.

They told me that yes, it DID sound like stomach cancer, but they could not do anything for me because I was uninsured.

They suggested I SAVE MY MONEY and go to a clinic to get the $800 test done.

It has been almost a year now and I have still not been able to afford it.

My symptoms have not gone away.

Mitt Romney LITERALLY does not care if I have cancer. He does not care if it kills me.

There may be some truth to this story, but if so, it does not reside in the part where a clinic and emergency room told her her symptoms "sound like stomach cancer" before they ever ran a single test.

It also doesn't reside in the emergency room sending her away until she came up with money for tests. Proveably false.

On the truth side, it is possible that her name is Stacy. But I don't hold out a lot of hope.

New York Times, maybe had it right in 2010, so what. Fordham University says Ras was most accurate in 2004 and 2008:

Romney and Obama tied in Rasmussen Poll: Most Accurate Pollster in 2008 and 2004
So what? In 2004, you still had hair and half a brain.

By all means, continue to party like it's 2004, old man.

The world is passing you by.......

“Hi. I’m Matt Drudge. I’m not a racist, I swear! I just like to not-so-subtly perpetuate racial stereotypes. Also, can you believe all these freeloading minorities voting for Obama? Typical. Not that I’m trying to portray that with my cleverly-juxtaposed framegrab and headline. Again, I’m not a racist! Promise. Kthxbai!”

This “Obama Phone” thing has been all over the internet today.

Just to clear things up a bit, this program was originally started under Reagan for land-line phones as telephone service is considered a basic necessity.

The program for cell phones started in Tennessee in August of 2008 and in Florida in September of 2008 (before Obama was elected).

Here’s the snopes page on the subject.

LMAO

How many times does the RWCJ crowd have to get their noses rubbed in the bullshit they spread before they start actually fact-checking their "news" sources?

How could you possibly know either of these things?

Okay! I capitulate, Obama has the election in hand. About time somebody with vast knowledge has weighed in and declared a winner. BB is right, we're doomed:

Presidential Halloween Mask Sales: Barack Obama Beating Mitt Romney

President Barack Obama is beating Mitt Romney not only in the polls, but also in sales of presidential-themed Halloween masks.

This year, Obama masks are outselling Romney masks by more than 30 percent, according to the sales records at BuyCostumes.com and Spirit Halloween Stores, two popular seasonal retailers.

BuyCostumes.com statistics said Obama is up 30 percentage points over Romney, and Spirit Halloween has Obama mask sales figures at 69 percent vs. 31 percent for the Romney version.

Skeptics might say the costume poll is just window dressing meant to mask the real issues, but ABC News reports that BuyCostumes mask sales have correctly predicted the victor in the past three elections, while Spirit's mask sales have been right in the past four.

I wanted to get one of those Romney masks to scare my neighbors, but they were sold out of the orange ones he wears on Spanish television.

How Obama Pulled Ahead

When the history of the 2012 presidential campaign is written, one of the key story lines will be this: The Obama campaign went a long way toward destroying Mitt Romney before the Republican nominee got out of the starting blocks.
As the airwaves become saturated with ads, that means the national parties, super PACs and other outside groups can end up paying as much as six or seven times more for 30 seconds of airtime. The Post offers this example: in one Ohio market, a 30 second slot that costs the Obama campaign $125 is costing a conservative super PAC $900.

The RNC can run ads promoting Romney, but the airtime discount applies only to the candidates — not to the parties.

Six weeks will tell the story.

True. It ain't over until it's over.

I fear that there may be an October Surprise awaiting the White House.

Plus Romney still has the debates to muddle through. That could be cruel and unusual.

THe New York Times, Throb, may certainly be an unbiased source of information...

As for your buddy, one of three people with you not on ignore, Fox's results are because they too are going with the 2008 weighting in order to bend over backwards to not look biased...

Now, early voting is beginning so one rather suggests that the last wave or extraordinarily good news for President Obama may very well be an attempt to write the story by manipulating the vote, firing up one set of voters while depressing another.

But we have some other trends that may be just as important when it comes to the outcome.

Voter registration in the Buckeye State is down by 490,000 people from 4 years ago. Of that reduction,. 44 percent is in Cleveland and surrounding Cuyahoga County, where Democrats outnumber Republicans more than two to one.

"I think what we're seeing is a lot of spin and hype on the part of the Obama campaign to try to make it appear that they're going to cruise to victory in Ohio," Cuyahoga County Republican Chairman Rob Frost said. "It's not just Cuyahoga County. Nearly 350,000 of those voters are the decrease in the rolls in the three largest counties, Cuyahoga, Hamilton and Franklin."

Frost points out that those three counties all contain urban centers, where the largest Democrat vote traditionally has been.

Ohio is not alone. An August study by the left-leaning think tank Third Way showed that the Democratic voter registration decline in eight key swing states outnumbered the Republican decline by a 10-to-one ratio. In Florida, Democratic registration is down 4.9 percent, in Iowa down 9.5 percent. And in New Hampshire, it's down down 19.7 percent.

"It's understandable that enthusiasm is going to wane a little bit from that historic moment (in 2008)," says Michelle Diggles, the study co-author and senior policy adviser for Third Way. "You can only elect the first African-American president of this country once."
