The Last Thing You Thought...

I know exactly what blizzard you're talking about! I was in the same one when it went through Chicago. Never seen that much snow in my life.

Gosh, I was so mad! All I asked for was a little bit of snow. I didn't care if it was less than an inch, I just wanted snow to fall on my birthday. And then I got trapped in the house! :p

Luckily, my mother had taken me shopping the night before and had bought me a laptop and some movies so I could stay in, be warm, and not ready to kill myself with boredom on my birthday.

Mhm! I don't think I could ever just leave him here, he's too cute, and he's been away on vacation for about a week now with his mom(MY brother's ex girlfriend) and I've missed him so much that I've just wanted to mope around, waiting for him to get back home.

My nephew's dad isn't in the picture so I guess you could say he looks up to me (that's what I'm told at least). He's a bit older now real smart, but I still cant' bring myself to leave him. I have my reasons of which I don't want to talk about in public.

You mean you didn't just build a pillow and blanket fort? That's the best part of snow days when it is too cold to go out! ;)

Yeah, I love kids. They are awesome. So much better than adults!

-Snickers-

Driving in white out conditions can be stressful. I've had some close calls, but it is also fun to get out in a fresh snow in an empty parking lot and just do doughnuts! :D

I agree. But on the other hand, does that include me? Are children better than myself? :p

Haha, I've actually done that before, and it is lots of fun! :)

Heh, no. I snuggled up in a hoodie, PJ's, my blanket, some hot chocolate, new laptop, and did some writing on Lit for my birthday! :D

I used to think Georgia might be too hot. Then I spent two months in the Arizona desert.

It was 114 here yesterday.

One hundred and fourteen fucking degrees.

Ouch! I'm sorry.

I've been holding off for a while, even though I shouldn't..
And my bladder absolutely hates me...
So I'm gonna go pee now!
Be back soon! :)

I think the hottest I've been in was 118 when I went to San Antonio.

What year was that? I grew up really close to Chicago.
It was.. the 2010/2011 winter, I think? Not this past winter, but the one before.

Yeah, thankfully I knew it was coming so I did what shopping I had to do, and could just watch it snow. I wasn't one of those poor bastards stuck on LSD for hours and hours.

It's absurd. You don't live here, you survive. It's the only place I've been where a power outage could actually kill you most of the time.

You thinks that's bad, go to Honduras during the summer like I did. No AC in the slums (was visiting family).

Ah I was already gone by then.

Flagstaff, AZ.. up in the mountains.. is amazing. 70's and crisp, even in mid-July. I could TOTALLY live there.

But this shit down here? No thanks. Just too hot.

Yeah the heat can get pretty oppressive. It has been reaching the low hundreds here, but with 30-70% humidity.

You missed a hell of a snowstorm!

I'm just done with the heat at his point. Two months here has been MORE than enough for me. I actually miss the ridiculous wind chills from Chicago being here.
