As soon as humanly possible.


It's a 30 hour drive... I did it in three days coming out, just because there was no reason to push myself. I may do it in a day and a half going back. I have a friend in Oklahoma I might crash with for a bit, but other than seeing her I don't plan to stop except for gas, food, or bathroom. I just want to put many miles between me and here.

It's not fair to put it all on her, though. This entire side of the family out here LOVES drama. Few things are actually about anything important, it's far more about who is getting attention, who isn't getting attention, why people are trying to get attention...

I cannot stand people that are so clearly just trying to get people to pay attention to them. Absurd drama is the fastest way to make sure I tune out whatever is going on. And you can't swing a cat out here without hitting some. It's like Jr. High. Except now I can drink.
