Cadel Evans, the returning champ, is a big favorite but remarkably another anglophone, Bradley Wiggins from the UK is an even bigger favorite as he has being races everywhere. He might have even won a race or two that he didn't even enter.
 
Ryder Hesjedal, the pride of Canada has to have a pretty good shot after winning the Giro D'Italia.

I don't know why anyone would want to win the TDF. You just spend the rest of your life listening to the losers claim you used drugs.

You ride the tour for the same reason those losers took the drugs: it is simply incomparable.

He has massive class, and is considered a second tier favorite. Only because in recent years the Tour of Italy has been every bit as difficult as the Tour of France, and it is not inconceivable that a Giro-Tour double is becoming increasingly physiologically impossible.
 
I can't believe how oblivious and selfish, the bystanders have become. Amateur paparazzi ? :hiss icon:

The most difficult part of the race this week doesn't seem to have been the terrain but the crashes. Left and right, exiting some big names (Hesjedal, prominently).
 
Reading about Brit David Millar and the 12th stage, while listening to Black Box Revelation. *le sigh*Poor Jean-Christophe Peraud! But, still- Garmin-Sharp.
 
Tacks on the road caused flat tires for about 30 riders during the 14th stage of the Tour de France. Who would really, do such a thing ?

I was watching this morning at 1am.... Unbelievable that this is happening again!
(The tour was nearly cancelled permanently years ago when this was going on.)
 
Extreme respect for Bradley Wiggins for slowing the pelleton down to ensure that Cadel Evans did not lose time due to the tacks.
Well done, great sportsmanship!
 
Cav wins his 4th stage in Paris led out by, get this, Yellow Jersey winner Bradley Wiggins.
 
Ah, atmas. How could it have ended, any other way ?

(I am royally pissed off at the major TV stations. I am guessing they did not continue because of the ratings. grrrrrrr)
