So how many of you use skype as a tool to get off?

Skype is one of the most malicious programs to use for video chat. Once you've used Skype, its next to impossible to get it out of your system. That and it uses a lot of overhead. In other words, the bulk of the calculations done to video chat or voice chat is for skype itself not the actual video/voice chat.

I use Google chat for all my voice and video calls. Its lean, sleak, and fast. It has no to little over head, and since it does not use a package system to send the video feed and done through a browser, its more secure.

I've used it with my (now ex) girlfriend was abroad, not bad in a pinch I guess
