How much will taxes actually go up because of this bill? And whose taxes will go up? - tumblrpigeon

On January 1, 2013, people who make over $200,000 will see their taxes increase by 0.9%. That is all. People are calling the insurance mandate a “tax” because that’s how Roberts explained the bill’s Constitutionality, but it isn’t a tax like income taxes. There’s a penalty for people who can afford health insurance but don’t buy it.

The idea that inactivity cannot be regulated, but it can be taxed is an absurdity that does violence to our Constitution and our liberty.
But you still want to kick those inactive kids off your lawn.

$235 million in GOP propaganda against ‘Obamacare’ means even those in favor now think it’s a bad law

June 26, 2012

Public opinion about the Affordable Care Act (aka “Obamacare”) is very positive as long as you break down the law into its individual parts. Add $235 million in propaganda telling voters how terrible it is, though, and you get a different result. Then, Cenk says, “They love almost everything about the law — except that they’ve been told that they should hate the law.”

Not even close to a true statement. But I expect nothing else from you.

The Vettebigot is hurting. This week has been one of the very few times reality has intruded upon his patented Zone of Reality Distortion. Reality hurts, dammit!
