no its the insurance industry itself......how much are the premiums.....I said that didn't I? geeze, fuck the tax, thats easy...every day people will have to now subsidize all those folks with terminal and near terminal illnesses because they can now get it, thats the point....a guy who normally pays 150 per month for himeslf may see his rate jump to 250 cuz some overwieght shmuck with shitty health and diabetes can now get health coverage, that guy....if he can afford it may well be 1000 a month.....thats the point....eat or pay insurance....many people cannot afford to do that.
Wake up, they already raised the rates with the blessing of the Hill.
Again, WHERE??
I'm in NY, where everything is taxed to death, yet NO RATES HAVE BEEN RAISED!!!
Because they already rape you, you just posted it.![]()
Seriously, come up with a decent rebuttal.

Im not sure why people persist in thinking that the struggling poor with be burdened with new health care costs under the ACA. Does that make sense in
your head? Because democrates love burdening the poor?
"One of the main features of ObamaCare is the creation of a new federally-financed health care entitlement that will subsidize the insurance premiums for low and moderate income Americans, beginning in 2014. The amount of the subsidy is inversely related to family income and will be a administered by new state-based ”exchanges” that will replace today’s small group and individual markets for health insurance....Households with incomes below 400 percent and above 133 percent of the federal poverty line (FPL) who are enrolled in insurance plans offered through the exchanges are eligible for premium assistance financed by the federal government (Medicaid will cover families with incomes below 133 percent of FPL). In 2010, the FPL is $22,050 for family of four. The new law establishes a sliding scale of assistance based on limitations on required family contributions to the cost of coverage. For instance, at 150 percent of FPL in 2014, ObamaCare limits the amount that such households must contribute toward their health insurance premium to 4 percent of their annual income. At 400 percent of the FPL, households must contribute 9.5 percent of their income toward insurance premiums. Whatever portion of the total health insurance premium for their coverage is not paid by these households is covered by the new federal premium assistance program."
Thats not to say we wont have some serious bumps to overcome with the ACA. There will be unforeseen consequences and if it isnt repealed, it will most definitely need to be changed as new problems arise. However, (to steal someone elses analogy) when your house is burning down, doing nothing because your worried about water damage, isnt the solution.
Whats the ACA?
Is that another name for the bill that is stopping me and a few hundred thousand others from buying health insurance for my kid?
Wow...really...NOT everyone with diabetes has it because of poor health.
For years juvenile diabetic children have been turned down for insurance
For year pediatric cancer patients have been turned down for insurance
For years children wearing glasses have been turned down for insurance - and yes, my father was initially denied coverage of me because I wear glasses!!!
You've been listening to the GOP gllom and doom people!!!
Wtf?....if you're diabetic, your health is poor. You need a pill at the very least to function correctly. That's poor health.
The point is.....yay....all those folks you mentioned can now get insurance, for a price. They won't just give it away. They are for profit. Question is, can they afford it.
Don't dodge it by picking at some other part of my post....the issue is affordability, not who's fucking sick with what or why....A F F O R D A B I L I T Y...

Who are you worried about affording it? Make a case. How many people are in the family, how much are they earning?
Make a case? I have a client, family of 4, they can get health insurance for around $350.00 per month, excluding dad, whose health is shit. He goes to get it because now he cannot be denied coverage, now they'll pay over $1000 a month so we can include dad. Anfd I say that, cuz that's what he was paying when he had a group plan from the job where he was laid off. They bring in less than 40,000 a year, leaving roughly 28000 to live on,--- make the light bill, rent/mortgage, groceries, deductibles, medicine, gas, and heaven forbid if they want to splurge a little and buy a damn ice cream cone.
There are tons of people in the country similar to this and worse. Now how does mandated health insurance help them, if they can't afford the premiums?
Democrats simply want the IRS making health care decisions... it's that simple.

1st the point of the ACA is to lower premiums for everyday citizens, so you can afford better coverage, so we dont know what his new premiums will be.
Also, he would exempt from the ACA, because as of right now, his premiums are more then 8% of his yearly income.

Ultimately, those who chose to buy food and pay their mortgage, but cannot afford to pay the tax to cover excessive medical procedures for others may in fact have the IRS put a lien on and/or outright take their homes in lieu of the tax payment, leaving them homeless.
As it was before, those whose insurance didn't cover their medical care found themselves homeless and destitute, too.Ultimately, those who chose to buy food and pay their mortgage, but cannot afford to pay the tax to cover excessive medical procedures for others may in fact have the IRS put a lien on and/or outright take their homes in lieu of the tax payment, leaving them homeless.
What possible government run service can you possible site and apply the term "better" to?![]()
