God what a crap week... the husband's sick, the kids are sick, the boyfriend is even sick.. I swear I'm not a carrier!!!! Plus work is putrid, msn deleted my contact list, my mobile didn't bounce when it flew off the roof of the car, I burnt my hand, Telstra shaped my internet and most importantly in this fluffy rant... I have no wine and will have to take my socks off and leave the house to buy some.

I feel your pain.
Especially the lack of wine bit :D

A long hot bath and some raisin toast are making the day a lot better, you are absolutely having the shittiest run the last few months... hope the universe fucks off and leaves you alone soon. :rose:

Thankyou sweetie
It has been a tough few months, but apart from the elbow, thumb and getting so ill for a few weeks with that shitty cold, I am remarkably well!
I have trimmed down to my best weight ever, and I am fitter now than I have been in years. I'm walking 10km every day and with the exception of my right arm, am toned as well.
I eat zero sugar or salt now, and have become nutritionally super-balanced. Even my perimenopause has eased down to nothing these days!

Now, stop making everyone else sick, and go find wine!
I can't drink it while on painkillers, so I need to vicariously enjoy it through everbody else!
:D

Been there, done that... have my socks back on and 3 bottles in the fridge. You can live through me anytime you like... though 75% of the time I'm incredibly boring and well behaved.

So apart from the crap bits, everything is great??? I'm having a wonderful 12 months overall... life is co-operating nicely for once, it's never been better.

I'm glad your year is going well :rose:
Yep, despite what it sounds like, my life is good.
The man finally uttered the words I've been waiting to hear.... and he MEANT it :D
Heh - my life is also rather boring. I'm turning into a farming hermit!

Hi Kiss  So glad life is doing well for you although the sick beds are full it will pass soon & peace will return to the home front.

Wonder what words the man uttered  Where is my dinner? Are those lambs ready to eat yet? the mind boggles.

Any news on being able to drive yet? that will solve the hermit feeling knowing how you love a drive.

Well after several years of not needing BP meds I'm back on them as I've had high BP for a while & todays was scary so BANDIT:heart: called in when dropping my bloods off for the weekly test dropped by the Renal unit & they organised a script, starting tonight.

It has us both baffled as BP has been great with even some low times & now it's high 200/90 this morning! yet we haven't changed a thing in how we are doing everything & I'm even 2 1/2 kg lighter which should have BP lower, weird.:mad:

bad cuff, high heat, salt, teeth problems?

None of the above, our thoughts are my pain in winter gets severe with the cold weather although last winter my BP was fine.

Started Bp meds last night & what a pain trying to workout when is best time to take them as 2 hours before eating or 2 hours after well sorry I'm not getting up 2 hours early to take a pill & 2 hours after won't work as often I need to be someplace & likely to forget to take it so decided 2 hours after dinner is the best time for me/us to remember, be fine once I get used to taking it.

BANDIT:heart: read my post over my shoulder & BP is 130/ 80 which is great seeing we have been tossing out an old mattress Damn the stairs we tossed it over the balcony & putting a new one on the bed, moving boxes & some other bits around the house.

Explain that Doctors :rolleyes::confused:

I'm going with noor on this one - I reckon it was a bad cuff/reading.
I say this because my next-to-last bp showed me at 170/95, and I have never been over 110/65.
I have low bp.

2 differnt Doctors plus BANDIT:heart: all got high BP readings & the 2 doctors were different days, I really wish it was the cuff.

We can't figure it out as diet is same as it has been for a couple of years with grilled fish, occasional small serve of meat, vegies, a little potato some nights.

Pain is higher than usual which we think is the cause.

Aaaahhhhh.... pain = stress = higher bp.
Got it.

Oh-kay.
Update time.
No1son broke his tumb and index finger on sat night. Tomorrow we have a whole day at the hospital. Hopefully, they will pin the breaks, so he can get back to work as quickly as possible. Especially as he has his new car to pay for!
Ironically, he will be seeing the same ortho doc that I see.... they will probably wonder what the hell happens in this family

Had an appt with our lawyer today. Trying to stop a former employer from breaching settlement (from an Industrial Relations case we won against them) where they've been giving us really bad references - almost costing the man a $187K/ year job
We're starting with a letter of demand, and will see what happens after that.

I drove today!
Happyhappyhappy :D
I am no longer reliant on lifts and feel almost normal again, even thoug my arm is giving me hell. At least I'm not stuck any more.... I can put up with the rest of the restrictions if I know I can escape periodically!

No1son has two breaks in his hand and a possible third break in his wrist.
He was fitted with a half cast today and has an appt to see a plastic surgeon next Tuesday.

So now there's 2 of us in the house without use of an arm!

WQ, still reckon you should have shares in that hospital!!! Good to see that you're mobile again. Nothing worse than being cooped up and relying on others to get out. :(

Hope your BP is sorted now, Gil. :rose:

Tried to burn down my kitchen the other day. Toaster caught on fire. Bread got pulled onto the element. Flames up a good 2 feet. Was very calm. Switched off at wall and got damp towel from laundry next to kitchen. Inspected burns to cupboards and THEN I fell apart. Holy Cow!!! It didn't trip the switch on the meterbox. That was more scary than the fire. Getting it checked out, Mon.

Hope everyone is warm and healthy or recuperating. :rose::rose::)

W.Q. Have they suggested you all move into a rubber room in padded suits, so sorry things keep screwing the family over, seems nice people are always the ones things like this happen to.

Well BANDIT:heart: & I have been crook for over a week now but hope to be on the mend soon.

BANDIT:heart: is doing a lot better than me as I now have "MAN FLU:( with the former cold now setting into my chest, not a lot of fun doing dialysis while coughing, blowing nose & generally aching all over.

Mz Frisky, Being sick & being on low dose to start (renal resident quack wasn't game to ring my specialist to ask him, he has them all bluffed) my BP has dropped but not enough still around 150/80, bring on the warmer weather so the pain eases some so I can possibly get back in control of my BP.

WOW, So glad you dealt with it, fire is a thing I fear in the home & know what you mean about falling apart after, BANDIT:heart: has had a few things happen where she has dealt with the problem then after the crisis has her "Oh shit" time.

When we walked into the ortho clinic yesterday, the receptionist looked at me funny and asked why I was back!
What they don't know yet, is that the kidley bean also has an appt there....
So that makes 3 of us to be treated by them in the space of 10 days!

(kidley bean has a problem with his left knee.)

I have 2 fire extinguishers in the kitchen, as well as a fire blanket.
Just in case!
If this house caught fire, no amount of insurance would cover the models... the dollar value maybe, but we could never replace them :(
Some of them are so rare, we've been offered up to 10 times their value to sell them!

Very happy to hear your fire wasn't worse

After my illness with bacterial bronchitis, I'm not taking any chances!
I'm on ethical nutrients immune boost, as well as taking precautions not to get too close to anyone who is either sniffly or coughing.
One sniff near me, and I head for the hills!

Hope you both feel better soon :rose::kiss:

Funny thing is I found a lump in my armpit & went to get it checked, blocked & infected sweatgland, but the Doctor coughed right at me which started this whole deal.

Spoke to another friend today who has been in hospital getting his diabeties under control but while in there he picked up the dreaded staph infection in his stump of his leg.

Now it's back to the doctors as the yummy stuff I'm coughing up is a rancid colour, up till Wednesday it was clear which is just a bad cold but change of colour means it's spread to my chest so want to nail it ASAP before it gets to bad, I can't risk it with my weak system. Think I'm headed for more bronchitis again, I've only ever had it the last few years, simple colds turn to shit.

Being crook I missed a funeral for a mates dad today & found out tonight another of the old speedway mob passed away too.

Friday night!
First Jack's of the year is going down super-easy, while I cook chilli-con-carne (did the spice mix yesterday).
Hellish weather this afternoon. Hail, rain, wind.... and it is still going on. Gonna be a woolly night.
With both the firstborn child and myself restricted -mine is the right arm, his is the left - we've worked out a system where we stand close together and pretend to be one person with 2 arms! It's working, sorta

Urk!
I'm sorting thro my mail while I cook the water out of the mince before browning it, and I have just opened the latest bill from my lawyers.
$1,357.00

No wonder ordinary folks don't take on ex-employers.... they get snowed with bills before they can achieve anything!
:(
