Justice for Trayvon??

May I ask an innocent question for which I will be thoroughly excoriated? Based on documented events in the past concerning racist hoaxes on campus, why is it not possible that this graffiti was placed by black activists , agents provocateurs, bent on formulating racial strife? How do you know?

This particular case from last year comes to mind:

I have zero idea who did it. I would say, anything is possible.

However, does it matter who did it, in the context of Zimmerman using it to raise money?

Attorney: Zimmerman defense fund website is real

This image made from the website therealgeorgezimmerman.com. shows writings by George Zimmerman. Craig Sonner, attorney for George Zimmerman, on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 is confirming the authenticity of a new website that allows supporters to raise money for Zimmerman. Zimmerman is at the center of an investigation over the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman says he shot Martin in self-defense after following him in a gated community on Feb. 26. I think Zimmerman has the right to raise money for his legal defense, don't you?

The fact that the graffiti is shown on his web site, and cropped in such a way as to yield absolutely no context to the actual location or origin of the graffiti, seems to put in doubt the claim of racist intent by the reporters trying to fan the flames of the controversy. Don't you think?

Ordinary people seeing the web site for the first time are not going to associate the term "long live Zimmerman" with racist graffiti that may or may not have been placed by a Zimmerman supporter on the black cultural building. I mean it looks like graffiti on a regular brick wall.

do YOU see it on his website?

tell me

its OK,

I'll wait:cool:

I suppose it's possible. Is it the most likely explanation? Not really.

"Black activists" at Ohio State are far outnumbered by white yahoos with no love lost for black folks, and I'm in a position to know.

I edited my post. The site was either changed or it never happened in the first place.

Ok, are you taking such a hard stand on this, in reaction to what you perceive as the left railroading Zimmerman? That, I can understand I suppose.

I mean, I see more then a handful of news articles and screen shots, all showing Zimmermans website using the picture, and my 1st thought isnt, "they doctored it".

Edited to add; A visit to the site does not reveal the image you reported.

So, I believe he has the right to raise money for his defense fund. However, I think it would be MORALLY wrong, for him to profit off of the fact that he killed Trayvon.

As to using the picture, it seems clear that they saw the backlash from having it up on the website and took it down. I dont care that they didnt "provide context", that has zero bearing, it was still repugnant to use in the 1st place.

He understands NOTHING. He's just another vile moron taking up bandwidth on the inter-webs.

Fishmeal, I'll give you this: you have raised the making of unintentionally ironic comments to the level of art.

CNN live right now: Zimmerman's lawyers are withdrawing as counsel. They're saying they've had no contact with him for days now and can't represent him without contact.
