Justice for Trayvon??

One thing for sure, he definitely exposed that vein of metamorphic rock you've got running through your brain.

Really? Ish's ignorance has shown that I've got rocks in my brains?

Surely you'll elaborate on that.

You were the one who said this:

"So you started a thread over something that isn't a big issue."

Only an idiot would think the subject of this thread isn't a big issue.

So your beef is with Ish, who said this wasn't a big deal, not me.

You're problem is, you don't understand the issue at hand.

So what's the issue at hand, Vette?

There's so much squawk in this thread that started from the first page on. I don't think anyone knows the issue. Certainly not now.

I was going to answer him, but I'd really like to see if he responds to your question.

I totally agree with everyone.

Stalking a person should be legal.

If it was, I would never had to spend thirty days in the County Jail.

Luckily for me, my ex-wife and her boyfriend were white and I did not kill them.

EDITGATE: NBC'S NAMELESS SCAPEGOAT RAISES MORE QUESTIONS

"Yes, that's right, just for starters, NBC News refuses to name the fired producer responsible.

And that, by any reasonable standard, is nothing more than a cover up.
To think that this biased, irresponsible, race-baiter can now freely move about the cabin and get a job anywhere in the news business, free from public scrutiny, is a cover up.

Moreover, if NBC won’t name the producer, how in the world are we supposed to know someone has actually been fired?

But the biggest problem for NBC News is that a single unnamed sacrificial scapegoat doesn't begin to pay for the deliberate crime of throwing gasoline on a racial fire that was already raging.

Edit-Gate didn’t occur in the fever swamps of MSNBC. This happened on the oh-so-storied "Today Show," which means that there are only two ways this was allowed to happen:"

Sharpton Breaks Promise To Trayvon Supporters, Fails To Show Up In Sanford For Easter “Occupation”…

It’s almost like Sharpton was only in it for himself.

Via Daily Caller:

On Easter Sunday the Rev. Al Sharpton, an MSNBC host, broke a major promise he made to those supporting him and the family of slain teenager Trayvon Martin: He didn’t show up in Sanford, Fla., to “occupy” the town.

On March 26 Sharpton vowed to “occupy” Sanford over Easter weekend to show support for Trayvon, the 17-year-old black teen who was shot by Hispanic neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman on Feb. 26.

“We’re going to have a full blown occupation of Sanford with tents and everything over Easter weekend until [authorities] either arrest George Zimmerman, or arrest us for praying for his arrest,” Sharpton told ABC News about two weeks before Easter.

On Easter weekend, however, Sharpton is nowhere to be found in the central Florida town. Instead, according to his Twitter feed, he’s in Harlem.

That's my editing idiot, see the quotes? That's why I left the link, read the article. DERP DERP DERP!

Sean is remarking that the Breitbart site, with it's history of doctored videos and selective editing, now gets all sanctimonious when other people besides them do it.

Your "editing" has nothing to do with anything. It's a given that a Marine Without Honor™ such as yourself will twist anything and everything for the benefit of the Republican party.

YOU DON’T NEED A WEATHERMAN TO SEE WHICH WAY THE WIND IS BLOWING: In case you missed it, Al Sharpton stood up Trayvon Martin supporters yesterday.

Maybe their "evidence" boiled by the facts is evaporating before their eyes. Remember UD had enough evidence to hang Zimmerman.

Al is reporting the Martin/Zimmerman event for MSNBC; NBC sez Al's fair & balanced. An upfront guy.

This event with Al Sharpton, his attitude, motivations, behavior etc are indicative of the whole Democrat philosophy. It's abhorent.

Today, Apr. 9th, is the 'call to action' day for the New Black Panther party. Apparently the goal is to stir up as much violence as possible on the day before the Grand Jury is set to meet to determine Zimmerman's fate.

The NBP's might succeed in stirring up trouble in some areas, but I doubt that it's going to be in Seminole Co., FL. Their goal is obviously an attempt to intimidate the Grand Jury, which meets tomorrow, into returning an indictment against Zimmerman. I'm not quite sure how well they've thought this through, if at all. And judging by some of the statements made by the NBP's in the a previously linked video clip I'd have to go with 'no thought whatsoever.'

If the overall silence regarding the reporting on the Zimmerman-Martin case is any indication it would appear that the more the 'newsies' find out about the facts the more they're distancing themselves from the case.

The issue for me is, will America continue to tolerate and allow deliberate falsehood to drive the narrative in issues concerning race and crime?

Outright murder and manslaughter aside, Americans have the right to defend themselves against bodily harm with whatever force is necessary almost everywhere. No one is required to allow himself to be killed, maimed, or severely injured to satisfy the law.

Conversely, Americans have the right to peacably use the public streets unmolested. That being said, racism does exist in America, and it impedes those rights, we all know it. My wish is that we stop lying about it, and stop trying to hide it, or make excuses for who's perpetrating it, on all sides.

For me, it's always a civil rights issue. In this case, I question if Zimmerman violated Travon's civil right to walk the streets of the US without being molested while exercising his own rights to protect himself his family and property.

I'm so glad our neighborhood doesn't have a homeowners association, besides being the neighborhood Nazis, you could get reamed by the actions of others:

Key excerpts:

Homeowner association could be sued in Martin case

SANFORD, Fla. — If Trayvon Martin's family sues over his death, they might not target George Zimmerman but instead the homeowners association of the neighborhood where the shooting happened and Zimmerman lived.

That's because if Zimmerman's claim that he shot the unarmed 17-year-old in self-defense is upheld by prosecutors, a judge or a jury, Florida's so-called stand your ground law would protect him from a lawsuit. But his clearance or acquittal wouldn't stop Martin's parents from suing The Retreat at Twin Lakes homeowners association — and its insurance policies and assets would make it a much more lucrative target than Zimmerman, even if he is eventually convicted of a crime.

Plus, lawyers say, Exhibit A would be a newsletter sent by the association to residents in February, the same month as the shooting. It said Zimmerman was the go-to person for residents who had been the victims of a crime.

Under the heading "Neighborhood Watch," the newsletter's message recommended that residents first call police and then "please contact our Captain, George Zimmerman ... so he can be aware and help address the issue with other residents."

That seeming endorsement of Zimmerman exposes the 7-year-old association to possible legal action by Martin's parents, homeowners association attorneys said.

. . . . . . . .

If Zimmerman were to be convicted of a crime, the door would likely be wide open to a lawsuit — Florida courts have held that homeowners associations can be held liable in wrongful-death cases.

A state appellate court in South Florida ruled seven years ago that a Miami homeowners association was partially at fault in the death of a visitor whose estranged husband entered the gated community and killed her.

Who would pay in the event of such a lawsuit would probably be determined by the type of insurance coverage the association has, Clark said. Some policies may be wide enough to cover Zimmerman's actions. If there is no policy or the policy in place is very narrow in its coverage, homeowners likely would have to pay out of their own pockets through higher monthly assessment fees because most associations don't have very deep reserves, he said. He noted that policies typically cover about $1 million.

"I almost guarantee you there are going to be checks written," Clark said.
