That's why I'm reserving judgment on this case. It's well within the realm of possibility that after being followed around by Zim, Trayvon attacked him and Zim felt his life or limb was threatened, so shot him. In a clearer answer, any time the dead black person in question was actively engaged in threatening someone else's life. None of which matters to bb, though, as you know. All he cares about is that a black person is dead, and in his diseased mind, that justifies any lie, manipulation, breech of law, whatever.

After nearly ten years of posting with him more or less daily, talking to him on the phone, emailing with him, being marginally involved with him on an interpersonal business level, I have a pretty good idea of what he's like and how he thinks. I spent years here defending him as "performance art" until he finally convinced me I was wrong, and he really believes this shit he spews. His politics are more centrist than some of what he posts here, but he is a truly hateful and violent racist at heart.

Recently, CNN enhanced audio of George Zimmerman — the man who shot Trayvon Martin — to try and determine if he did, in fact, use a racial slur while calling police on the night of the shooting. Back then, it sounded like Zimmerman might have used the phrase “fu**ing coons,” and his critics have cited it as evidence of a racially-motivated attack. But now CNN has enhanced the audio again, and the reporter is casting doubts that the term was used.

It sounds like … we‘re hearing the swear word at first and then the word ’cold.’ And the reason some say that would be relevant, is because it was unseasonably cold in Florida that night and raining.”

The audio expert agreed it sounded like “cold,” and said the new method gets rid of a lot more background noise but doesn’t change the voice or words.

Yup, if it turns out that's what happened. I haven't taken a side in this. I do want to know why Zim felt like he had to keep following Martin after being told by the 911 operator that it wasn't necessary. If you push a confrontation long enough and far enough, sooner or later it will escalate.

It was more of a gestalt than anything else. His choosing to personally attack my wife was more or less just confirmation that he is, in fact, a complete shithead. Not once, in all our disagreements, no matter how vile he was, did I ever personally insult his family that way, and I certainly didn't follow him around the boards and onto Facebook spewing such shit about his family. That aside, all the discussions and arguments over the years eventually convinced me that he really does hate black people. All of them.
