Justice for Trayvon??

Oh good, I was hoping there would be a few more threads about this.

The Florida law is tragic.

There should always be an investigation when anyone is shot and killed. There's an investigation whenever someone dies in a car accident, why not when another person willfully kills someone?

Yeah, you'd have thought so wouldn't you?

Maybe Florida doesn't pander to mainsteam notions like logic and common sense.

Exactly...why did he disregard the instructions of the 911 dispatcher? Because he had a gun.

As it turns out genius he did break off pursuit, not when suggested by the dispatcher but because Trayvon gave him the slip (confirmed by Trayvon's girlfriend), and was returning (moving in opposite direction, ie retreating) when accosted by Trayvon.

So much for your drivel dribble.

So since Zimmerman ran away from a fight that he started he's legally allowed to kill someone?

Hmm. Don't think so, guy. The girlfriend's phone conversation account paints a totes different picture, sans the speculation:

The girl would only talk to attorneys who recorded her statement and her parents won’t give out her name, but she said when she was talking to Trayvon as he was walking back home in the rain and he was telling her about this strange guy who was on a phone following him:

“He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man. I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run.”

Trayvon did eventually decide to run but he was eventually cornered.

“Trayvon said, ‘What, are you following me for,’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here.’ Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the head set just fell. I called him again and he didn’t answer the phone.”

After that the line went dead and it was just seconds later that Trayvon was killed.

Incorrect.

This is a clear case of premeditation. Trayvon made a conscious decision to get off of his couch and walk to a convenience store in an obvious attempt to establish an alibi, then went out looking for a white man to beat.

I lol'd at this.

I have rambled on & on below....but my point is:

This situation is too far out of hand. No one living, except Zimmerman, will ever know what actually happened that night. Justice may have been served already, or justice will never be served. Unfortunately there is no in between at this point.

No one will ever know exactly what happened. Some are assuming that the shooter was a racist who set out to shoot an unarmed young black man. Some are assuming that the young black man was shot in self defense.

It appears that the police weren't prepared for a national media firestorm and they don't have their ducks in a row. No matter what they say at this point is going to look bad. They are in a lose/lose situation. It doesn't appear as if a thorough investigation was done, and that hurts the accused more than the deceased.

The shooter, guilty or not, is being punished as we speak. Do you think he is living a normal life right now? No. Guess what folks...he may have done nothing wrong! Is it fair to be trying him in the public eye? NO. Would you want that to happen to you? NO. You can say that you would never put yourself in that position blah blah blah...but what everyone should be outraged about the most is the fact that no one in this case is being treated as if they are innocent BEFORE they are proven guilty. If you want the justice system to work, let it fucking work. Don't listen to the lawyers and handlers of ALL parties involved who are trying to spin this in their favor.

Unfortunately, because the public and the families want answers NOW they will never get them. Americans seem to think we live in a world where the CSI tv shows are somehow a reality. Not even close.

I understand that Trayvon's family is devastated. I would be. And I'd want someone to pay and if my son had done something to cause his own death, well, it would kill me to find that out, but I would have to live with it. Right now his character is being called into question and guess what...that's what happens in a case like this. Trayvon's family & attorneys are calling Zimmerman's character into question. They have to be prepared for all of Trayvon's dirty laundry to be aired as well. Hopefully everyone involved will be able to come to peace with whatever happened that night.

Justice for Trayvon would be running the circus out of town, telling the parents to shut up, investigating the crime, and let the chips fall where they may. I do not know if it is now possible to investigate this proprerly, because the stumping by Sharpton, Jackson, and Obama, has turned this is to a political football with the memories of the witnesses tainted and the witnesses themselves scared. The sad thing is that the needs of Sharpton and Jackson will be met wether the case is resolved or not. I am sure They do not care about justice for the kid as long as it gets them face time and the money keeps on rolling in.

How do you know wether Trayvon was pushed or Trayvon did the pushing. There is no way to know form this comment. The question the Trayvon was asked while uncomfrotable was not threatening. The girlfriend is no help and only furthers the politics of the case as it is emotional and the only thing she can testfy to is the question that was asked.

According to the police Zimmerman was carrying his weapon on a holder where it was visible. And Zimmerman stated Trayvon made a grab for the gun ...

So the whole "uncomfrotable was not threatening" is more speculation, when its possible Trayvon saw the gun.

Yes Maam you are right, but that is not what I said. I was speaking about this young lady's statement. She can not offer evidence of the weapon as she did not see it, even if Trayvon told her about it. As for the weapon I was under the impression that Zimmerman was wearing a jacket, if this is true it would raise many more questions, such as at what point and how did the weapon become visible. The problem with most of the people commenting on this case is that they have watched so many cop shows on tv that they think they know the law as well as what is and isn't evidence. This is why it is so hard to get convictions now, all the juries want fingerprints, DNA, video, and to have the case end in an hour, with plenty of bathroom breaks.

I guess the girlfriend's statement of the phone call between her and Trayvon while Zim was playing the non-virtual reality Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with him probably doesn't matter when you're in the same universe that makes you not go to the hospital when someone significantly lighter than you jumps you from behind, breaking your nose, injuring the the back of your neck and possibly causing a concussion from the repeated head slamming to the ground.

Justice may have been served? So if I chase after someone, then get my ass beat, that gives me the right to kill them?

No one knows what happened. If Zimmerman was acting in self defense, then yes justice was served. If he was not then justice has not been served.

Only one living person knows for sure what happened. Your theory isn't what I was speaking too. Dribble is a fitting name.

Is there something about "he lost the man" that is unclear to you?

The only thing that matters is skin color.

A thug, on a walk, through a gated community, with burglary tools, out of pot, just whistling Dixie...

... but he's black, so justice says, a white guy has to be hunted down and lynched in the name of reparation and Social Justice.

Justice may have been served? So if I chase after someone, then get my ass beat, that gives me the right to kill them?

No, justice says if the little banger is banging your head against the sidewalk after you let him go, then you are supposed to admire the beat and whatever lyric he happens to be screaming at you as a celebration of his "culture."

Maybe even shoot yourself for being white in Eric Holder's America.
