You read all kinds of shit.

Never made any post like that, liar.

You decided that cebalreai who is bisexual and has a completely different career and background as me is my alt - then you turn around and say it's crap that "I" have multiple careers and sexual orientations? Stupid doesn't describe you.

The man is such a fucking fraud. Everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie.

WASHINGTON — In an unusual presidential endorsement of a specific automobile, President Obama told a UAW conference on Tuesday that he intends to buy a Chevrolet Volt when he leaves office.

The Obama administration shepherded Chevrolet parent General Motors through a federally led bankruptcy in 2009.

Obama referred to a 2010 visit to a GM factory in Hamtramck, Michigan, where the Volt is built.

"I got to get inside a brand-new Chevy Volt fresh off the line — even though Secret Service wouldn't let me drive it," he said, according to a transcript of his speech on the White House Web site. "But I liked sitting in it. It was nice. I'll bet it drives real good. And five years from now, when I'm not president any more, I'll buy one and drive it myself. Yes, that's right."

Of course he will buy one 5 years from now. At the rate things are going, Obama will be as broke as the rest of us once the funding for Government Motors is gone. :D

And no average American will ever reap the rewards of that bailout money supplied from the American taxpayer will they? I believe Ford stands alone in that respect.

Not to disagree with you, but I am an average American and I am reaping the rewards of the bailout, even though I didn't agree with it myself, GM's or anyone else's.

I still have my job and earning a paycheck, I'm still providing for my family, and I'm paying taxes. Things I might not be able to do if my job was lost, thus adding to the burden that is the unemployment rate along with all of the social programs that go with it.

I read today that the Volt has like zero resale value, 1/2 the price of the car is its battery, and the battery is crap.

I suspect that if you opened the battery case 10,000 little AA batteries would spill out.

Ironically, the typical buyer of the Volt are those that make over $150,000 a year, those same people that Obama hates and wants to tax to death. Go figure....

You forgot to mention that they're all US Congressmen with "D" after their names.

Do any of his supporters actually believe he'll buy a Volt, or do they think he's an habitual liar, too?

Speak up.

They should make Obama invest HIS money into HIS Algae fuel idea.....wonder how bullish he'd be then?

It is good that you are benefiting from the bailouts. However, if this country could keep its' head out of its ass, there never would have been the need for a bailout in the first place.

So you want MORE regulation? come on, every country in the world is struggling, watch them fall, one by one. Get ready for the bailouts of Egypt and the middle east....

man you tow the company line, dont ya.....

I'm not doing anything like that. The fact that the American auto industry still exists has been critical for the economic recovery taking hold. You and I benefit from an improving economy.

This isn't a Democrat or Republican position, it's pure Wall Street.

You mean more regulations rifled with loopholes? Failing corporations going under being led by incompetent CEOs that cannot balance their own checkbook? Banks being bailed out so they can repeat the same mistakes over and over? Property owners being taxed even more to compensate for expenses city governments cannot manage properly already? A two tier income tax laced with double standards? Fueling more money to spend on wars across the globe? And now we seem to have economies centered around those precious fossil fuels, taking our last few dollars, yet big oil is posting record profits? And the rest of us continue to struggle to find new ways to stay alive with a roof over our heads and food on the table?

Honestly, Beco, I have no fucking idea what the answer(s) are. (Throws hands up.) I am as disgusted with the plight of the world as you or anyone else. No one really seems to know one damned thing on how to turn the world's economy around. I turn the TV on less and less; and click internet articles less and less - because all it serves to do is bring more bad news. Sometimes it is difficult to see America is actually sitting pretty happy compared to others.

The batteries in the Volt caught on fire during the test crashes. "They" say they are going to fix it. OOOOoooo! I want one of those!

Exxon dropped $600 million into algae biofeul research. Do you think they threw their money away?

http://articles.marketwatch.com/200...1_alternative-energy-algae-northeast-biofuels

$600 Mill, a drop in the bucket. I'm sure its laden with some sort of tax incentives from Uncle Sam. Craig Venter was a big deal around here, smart guy, rich beyone belief, decoded the human genome faster than NIH. But we have a local firm here, biofuels company doing this algae stuff, the fair-haired child of this area and when gas prices dropped, they disappeared. Eventually bought by a bigger firm and now floundering. Maryland spent millions on them......what a waste. Biofuels will exist when we get to some sort of tipping point, and we're not there yet. While we still have coal and plenty of oil, and Canada, nobody will take this seriously. Any alternative fuel WONT solve $5.00 a gallon.....

Obama wanted higher gas prices to enhance this strategy, its too premature
