Getting some thing done actually means writing my next submission for Lit.

Doing fine. Started a new job that is incredibly time consuming but well worth it. Don't even have time for my mainstream writing let alone the fun stuff, but slave_ is coming aboard to work with me as not writing is driving me ape.
You know you've been here too long as now instead of letting your characters get frisky so you can submit here, you need to hose them down in order to publish elsewhere.

Hose them down hell, my real life editor has gotten to the point she just paints them black and sticks them in a closet. Of course, she always keeps a copy for her personal files.

I think my editor reads with his hands over his eyes when I send him stuff but has to peek through as not to miss anything.
I keep meaning to send him the three monkey statue of see no evil etc...

It may pay to let your mom use a different browser, or you clear the cache on the one she uses now and you use a different one.
My mother's not tech-savvy enough to worry about it. She wanted to borrow my computer when she was here for my play. No problem, as long as I get her directly to whatever search engine (Yahoo, Google) she normally uses.
Funny about hosing down the characters, litfan. Between this and the kid-lit, I'm just hoping I never confuse the two!

There's more to worry about than your browser bookmarks and history, don't forget about MS Word -> recent documents (use option to not display) and of course, find an obscure directory in which to save your works. We password protect story files and set the option to clear user data when closing. We have to worry about our tech-savvy daughter...

I have my own laptop, it's normally not a problem. But we've gone on vacation three times since I got the computer and each time my mom and sister bug me for facebook rights and my dad bothers me for mapquest. I just worry that they'll mess up with my little mac mouse-pad and accidentally hit the wrong key.
