Well, here's something some of you might find interesting.

Ok. Here are the full text of every Navy Cross citation ever awarded to a Marine in Vietnam.
http://www.homeofheroes.com/members/02_NX/citations/07_RVN-nc/nc_19rvn_usmcE.html

From this link.....(This listing is as complete as we are able to provide from numerous resources, however it is possible that a few recipients may not be listed. You can verify if someone received the Navy Cross from this list, but absence of a name should NOT be construed to definitively negate a veteran's claim to this award.)

I think the alt insanity on here is pretty damn ridiculous. It's gotten to the point of if someone doesn't like someone else they accuse them of being either a cade, rory or luke alt.

I stopped caring a long time ago whether or not someone had an alt. Personally I think it's stupid if you do. I mean if you can't come to an anonymous porn board and say what you think under one name you're just a chickenshit idiot.
Ignoring the contradiction of your last two sentences, I largely agree. We're all "alts."

I read an interesting story about the Bush White House. The first five or six years of the Bush Administration were the "Cheney years." He'd stocked the Administration friends and ideological allies. When he preferred a course of action, he would send word to the rest of the Administration.

Bush would call everyone in to discuss. They would present 'their' suggestion/analysis (which recall, originated with Cheney). They would leave, and Bush would turn to Cheney, who was famously "the last man in the room," and ask what he thought.

Cheney would gravely say, "I think Paul is right in this case."

That's why most people use alts, no? Ken(s) aside, alts are far more often a way to settle scores or agree with the 'original' poster—the same person as the one agreeing.

Having said that, i also think anyone who says, "Who cares?" is being a bit disingenuous. Unless you come here to make announcements and then leave, never talking to anyone or reading what anyone else says, you care. There is plenty now being written about the philosophical implications of online identity. To summarize it, it goes something like this: you care.

Jesus Christ, I spent an afternoon with CB in his lab. I have pictures and shit.

CJH has shown me his professional web page and given me legal advice.

What more could anyone ask for?

All I'm saying is that he's not Ken or any of the rest of them. I want to be careful about that, lest ten years from now someone talk about how we're bosom buddies or something.

I'd make you a pot of tea and show you the roses.

A double winner would not be missed. Not both times anyway and since it's rather rare it's highly unlikely they'd be missed at all.

Nobody here knows me IRL.

Nobody has met me or talked to me.

One or 2 people have seen a picture of me.

I am who and what I say I am until Sonny proves otherwise.

Negative. This is lit were anyone can make a false negative statement about you and the burden of proof becomes yours!

Example: You go to home depot on the weekends, pick up immigrant workers, and pay them to choke you while jacking off. (This is now considered true, unless you can prove otherwise)

But if you were to say "I found a wallet on the way home and returned all the money to the proper owner." We would all need pictures and a sworn affidavit to believe it.

Are you that dead hooker?

I would like to say 'Shut up, Ken' right now, but I won't.

If someone cries bloody murder when accused of something, it's gonna stick. Trolling 101.

Bear with me as I try to explain....
So there you go.

Perg, didn't you at one point also vouch for thirty's China schtick?

I don't know if VA is Ken or not, but it's fun to poke him with a stick. Why does he get so defensive, if he's not?

Rob is lying again. I never claimed to have received two Navy Crosses. It is a complete fabrication of his. No one knows my real name anyway.

Last picture I saw you looked like Barney Rubble. If you were in the Mafia we would call you Barney can of corn.

that's me

Then there's me. I'd have had to marry myself or hired someone to play patient1 to dress up in a tux and stand around for all those pictures with me. :D

Back in the early days of Lit there really were more Lit gatherings. Patient1 went to a couple of those so there are more than a few people here who know he is real. I imagine it is that way with most people here but not all. There are likely some people here who are exactly who they say they are but have never met or talked to anyone from the GB. Doesn't make them any less real, just less able to "prove" who they are.

I've met probably thirty or forty people from Lit irl over the years. I guess I could have made them all up. The pics are hard to fake, though. Hiring an actress who looks just like SheRem or Glo, for example. There just aren't that many gorgeous women out there for hire...

I explained in the OP. Another poster who we both know well has provided me with a significant statement. I can't really reveal more than that, but it's the kind of thing that's either true or some sort of incredibly convoluted and involved conspiracy that stretches across at least a decade on the GB.

And I said, I have no comment on his military record, other than that if what he says is true, he's too lazy to walk and too chickenshit to jump.

This is untrue sir: I have spent so much time humping the Koolau Mountain Range with 80+ on my back that my legs will put the average soccer player to shame. In addition, I am even more than a 5 jump punk and you can see your own reflection in the toe of my boots before starring at the tower of power on my chest.

Let me tell you something rookie. I have never used my real name in publicly accessible Internet social media, so you don't know my real name nor will you ever know my name. But I have to tell you, I've known yours for years.

It's Denis Thatcher isn't it - I knew it! :nana:
