There is an author going by the name Robin Scott who is copying stories off Literotica.com and selling them on Amazon.com under her own name! One of my stories and multiple other authors stories have been stolen from this site.

Please, please, please go to Amazon.com and check her works against your own, if you find your work has been stolen please report her immediately. These are the stories I've already matched to their literotica counterparts and I have e-mailed all these authors but she has 31 stories posted on amazon.com and I have not had the time to find all the authors to warn them individually!

Please help me to stop this person from profitting from other authors' works!

List of works I identified and warned:

Report it to Amazon. If the story is still up on Literotica, try sending a PM to Laurel -- find her name in one of the "stickies" near the top of the AH, click on it and click Send PM -- and show her your findings. She might be able to help get them removed.

With Amazon, you'll need proof the stories are yours. Although from what I've read in the past, Amazon is pretty good about pulling works that are stolen.

I reported her this morning for my story being stolen and I sent them the list I pasted above here as well as proof that all her "books" were in fact stolen stories but I'm hoping the more authors check their works and report her as well the faster they'll yank her content down. I'm a bit hot under the collar from the whole thing myself!

This Robin Scott person doesn't have an account I've seen on Literotica herself it only appears she's copying stories from here and pasting them into amazon.com kindle edition books under her own name.

It appears that all of "Robin Scott's" e-books are no longer available! A gratifying (if probably temporary) setback for this thief.

Good Work

Yep, the only comment on "her" author page at Amazon now reads "plagiarist."

Good I'm glad Amazon.com finally took some action! Some victories are especially sweet :)

This is good, yes. But you do realize, don't you, that Robin just changes names and does it all over again? Of course, if "she" is cut off before a payoff each time, eventually "she'll" see that it's costing "her" more than she's making. And then there are all the others who are doing the same thing.

But as long as this shuts them down before there is a payoff, it's good to do.

That's great to see, though you know, it feels weird to see a victory like this. It seems like only yesterday that someone on these forums was telling me it was pointless to bother, that Amazon doesn't care and wouldn't do anything and that I was "diluted" to think that such a large corporation would bother caring about the little authors in all of this.

But I digress, this is awesome to see that he/she/it (since we don't really know) has been at least set back for now.

Onward to Maria Cruz!

Might just be a set back but I'll take that small victory and be happy with it for now. And my thanks will ever be with the kind fan who e-mailed me to alert me my story had been taken to begin with. I'm glad to know the fans of literotica have the backs of the authors here :)

Even though I very much disagreed with Pilot on whether this could happen, I have to admit he has a point--one of two things will happen--Amazon will actually start making more hoops for people to jump through, or less erotica will appear on sites such as lit (after all, it would suck to know someone else is profiting off of my works when I didn't intend for them to be anything but enjoyment for people).

I believe "diluted" was your word. And, no, life with Amazon isn't going to be this simple. (This, by the way, didn't come up just yesterday. We've had this "Robin" thread--and Robin by other names--repeatedly for over a year--three times just this week. Some would get the clue that this isn't an event, it's a long, excruciating process. An irritation that just keeps giving). But, I'm sure you'll learn that--eventually--yourself. If you're open to reality and not so smug about what you don't know.

Let me make another run at this. This is a whole new, complex, scary world, legallly (and in what actions to take)--for the authors and for the publishers and for the distributors. And the government has no interest in getting into any of this, if it can avoid it (and it's very good at avoiding print copyright cases). Assumptions that it's all under control are misplaced. It's a new, unmapped world--when the old world wasn't exactly author friendly. No one's got their arms around it; everyone is in danger of getting screwed. Being smug about short-term gains (or thinking that either you or anyone else have it figured out) isn't going to help (or protect) anyone. It's just going to get you blind-sided in very nasty ways.

Okay I have a question. This article mentions Oediplex and his stories being stolen on Amazon.

The story they stole was a mother/son isn't incest verbotten on Amazon? Or did I miss something and they watered the thing down to step mom?
