Or a boat. That looks dead vertical and I'm sure the line doesn't wander too much, so rope drag wouldn't be that big an issue.

How long until someone solos it and then BASE jumps?

Within a year, I'd bet.

You'll never see this stuff in the US because Homeland Security won't allow it on large infrastructure projects.

Hell, insurance companies and our litigious culture won't allow it, before HS even has to say anything about it. People here are immensely ignorant about climbing.

I know of an instance where a potential contractor has to take a 4 hour safety module in order to be allowed to drive to a pre-bid conference.

Heck, feet are not allowed more than 6 feet off the ground unless on an approved manlift or scaffold and the person is tied off.

I was thinking about that today when I was hanging a bird feeder wreath thing outside the window. If I rented this place and tried that, the landlord would have to throw me out.

It's amazing that anything can get accomplished when there are 3 or 4 guys standing there telling you what you can't do.
