Once you "individualize" things a bit, they stop thinking as a group and start worrying about covering their own feral ass.

Nah, seriously, I didn't learn that from my trigger-happy father or my substance abusing mother, I learned it from the society you all seem to hate so much.

Of course, my moral compass doesn't know true north; but the only reason it doesn't point due south comes from a cultural bias. I'm more of a realist then anything; and the reality is if there's a mob, the cops can't catch us all, and I'll play those odds. It's actually called a "mob mentality". But for most of my life, the mob as been a driving force of good. But I think there's some kind of internal moral compass that I have SOMEHOW developed that keeps me out of trouble. After all, I'm one of the few people I know who has never been arrested, despite all the illegal stuff I do. In public. Quite obviously at times.

One of my ancestors was a Civil War general with a brigade. When the lads were hesitant he rode ahead of them into the enemy by hisself, and when the bullets were thick he sat in the midst of it, on his horse ( he finally took a bullet in the head). I submit that it is not just Britain. This is a synopsis of what the West has become. There's always an excuse; whatever it takes to absolve the individual of responsibility, to turn them into a pack animal and to wipe away all that which was considered moral and "old-fashioned." This is why we are exposed to and demanded to accept and embrace so many aberrant, deviant, destructive and minority behaviors viewing them and pretending that they are just as valid as any other behavior or past cultural norms or mores.

Half jokingly, I've often referred to the United States Marine Corps, of which I was a proud member for 11 years, as one of the great acting schools in the world, and the show is definitely a killer.

I know I'm a dumb U.S. guy who's been deprived of a proper British upbringing for a couple of centuries, but am I feral simply because:

1) I'm over 60 but I have a hair-trigger; I try to never provoke anyone or run afoul of the law. However, woe unto the teacher, lawyer, police officer or judge or runs afoul of me. If I'm wrong, I know it and will admit to it; I'm seldom wrong. If I'm wronged, being a teacher, lawyer, police officer or judge will be no protection.

Sweden doesn't have as many stupid laws, like, drug laws, so their crime rate is lower. They don't imprison people for no reason.
