welcome to oz :)
you moved here for work?
I have yet to go visit NZ - it's the one place in the world I haven't been to.
I'm told it's a lot like tassie, so I should be able to handle the cold when i go.

I love Melbourne. I get over there a few times a year.
Cheap from here!
In fact, I'll be passing thro again in a couple of weeks on my way to Kangaroo Is in S.A.

Thanks for welcome :) Yeah I got transferred for work.

NZ is a lovely place - I guess it would be fairly similar to tassie as far as temperature goes. Heaps to look at if you are a tourist - mostly natural stuff - geysers and glaciers and fiords etc.

Oh and how can I forget the rugby world cup - it will be so nice to beat the aussies and win the cup on our own soil ;)

If you are passing through and feel like a drink just drop me a line

I was going to say it was really cold in Melbourne but nope, we didn't get -3, maybe minus something in the outer suburbs, still cold enough though.

Evening all,

Welcome to the new people. As Gil has said we are a friendly bunch here so throw another politician on the fire and pull up a seat.

Still enjoying driving to work and with these colder mornings it is even better to be sitting in a nice warm car...especially when looking across to those PT travellers all squished in the trams...

I heard the Qld's complaining about the cold...apparently it got down to 26..the poor little things...I may have to go out and buy them some gloves and beanies

Pffttt...to your gloves, come stand here Elfie lad, that's it....we're going to play a game that will keep my hands so nice and warm....Just let me slip them in right...oh yes...that is it...mmm toasty warm....:D ;) You don't mind the finger wiggling do you? Oh...forgot....the name of the game is "Toastrack" :))

Well Ms Moon I was going to put down a larger number, but since I'm the gentleman I am, I became conservative. A woman is only as old as I feel they are. Sometimes it takes a couple of feels :D

Well since you are that flexible, you either have a circus act you can take on the road or you could set up your own internet site....

Now why do you insist on leather corsets in your climate, I thought something more breathable would be better or do you just like the feel of leather on your nipples? Yep a pic of you in your new corset I believe would be required..now all I need is a reason to misbehave...then again I don't really need a reason.

Leather in a sub tropical area? It's the mould Elfie boy..it's a addictive. Actually leather isn't too bad, it's the PVC I find a killer to wear. It sticks at the best of times, but when your body is that lovely "Queensland just out of the shower, but now I need another before I've reached the bathroom door" state in summer, it is a nightmare, unbearable and I do believe I mentioned previously here, soon requires the gentle and soothing balm of Canneston upon certain areas. Now doesn't that make the juices flow thinking that one out? Wait for it...EWWWWW! Touch down! Oh dear, think i need to get a glass of water now.

Laughs..you'd be game to look at a photo? Damn, brave this Elfin lad. Just for saying it you never know you might suffer it.....

Mz Moon, Your wonderfully twisted posts are missed here :( sadly it seems life is keeping you busy in the wild north.

Gloves and Beanies hey! Can I have pink ones please? Thankya :) I don't think we have had gloves and beanie weather up here yet though.

Hope everyone is well.. it's the end of another very long tiring week and I am looking forward to some visitors from Sydney next week, just gotta get the sleeping arrangements sorted!

LOL Melbourne is like living in the top of the north island I'm told. It could be a lot worse you could be in Canberra now that is a miserable place.

My wife is a Kiwi but been here for 7 years now so she feels the cold here like the rest of us but her daughter is visiting & wearing T shirts & shorts while we are rugged up.

Canberra? Miserable place? *pulls the scarf tighter around her neck*

Well, not really - at 31 I dont thin Im old enough to have a 'back in my day', but I do have a 'back in my country' instead. Just moved to melbourne from NZ last week and I am finding the temperature here very pleasant, although currently awaiting the arrival of my furniture so my house definitely feels a little cold and empty at the moment!

Welcome to Aus!

I moved over here from Perth.
Can't say I miss the windy, rainy cold that Perth gets.
Here, it's generally light drizzle with no wind - much easier to deal with.
Most times, even when it's raining, I don't even need a brolly or coat!

I haven't quite worked out where you are yet, Miss Queen, but I will fess up to having grown up in Perth, where winter at least tries it on, but then moved to Queensland. I bitched all summer up there about the humidity, but at least the winters were gorgeous. Then when we moved to Canberra, it felt a lot like Perth again, just colder. Having said that, we're not really getting that much rain at the moment...

LOL! There's quite a few politicians to spare in my neck of the woods!

When I first moved from Qld to Canberra, I thought 17 deg was arctic! It's funny how we adjust.

Oh gods, I'm the only one here and quoting madly at no-one in particular. Oh well. Sorry to have been absent recently, folks (not that anyone will have noticed, I'm sure), but life was a tad busysome.

And before that there was a point were I was reading a massive, massive, incredibly long thread and got myself up to page 101 and decided to stop for a while. It will still be there should I want to go back. But it completely absorbed me for a bit there.
