Real inches. . .then again, being that I'm a woman, and have been told that 4 inches is actually 7 inches most of my life. . . maybe it was more than that.

Let's just say someone who needs hair will be getting a ponytail of mine courtesy of locks of love. Felt like I should have included a letter of apology for the few strands of gray mixed in with the dark brown.

This past week, Friday to Friday, has been the worst I've had in the past 10 years. Thank heavens it's freakin' o-v-e-r. As of 10:30 a.m. this morning, it felt like the weight of the world was lifted from my shoulders.

I don't know what the other location is, and I probably wouldn't be able to get there on time; if having the other person may not work out - because of getting on time - they might hire me, but I only have a bike and no money to get any other means of transportation.

Which hints at why I no longer work with children, and currently being in the Health insurance field, just work with idiots. I only have an imaginary goatee to stroke, but stroke it I do. Oh yes, I do stroke it indeed. . . . Muahahahaha!

I'm taking this to mean you're a teacher and I just want to say as a non-grade grubbing student, who CANNOT STAND people who do, I want to say the rest of your students hate the grade grubbers as much as you.

That's good to hear. The students who make me shake my head are the ones who miss half the semester, don't turn in several important assignments, and are shocked to discover that a passing grade is mathematically impossible.

I tried to eliminate the mystery/surprise of the course grade by giving my students a printout that showed how many points they'd earned going into the final exam. I think this strategy worked, because I submitted grades last week, and I have yet to get any complaints.

If I make an error in the student's favor, I want to know about it so I can make it right. Otherwise, once the grades are submitted, the semester is over.
