I must say I've never wanted to pass this girl ... nor imagined it would be possible!

When i joined the site she was #1 and remained there for years before a couple of cats used some dirty tricks to pass her. She then regained the top spot and stayed there for another year. She was and is simply the best.

Although our present #1 and #2 are excellant authors this dear girl would stilll be #1 if she hadn't been incapacitated for the past year.

i rewrote my will today...

I just checked and I found that I haven’t submitted a story to this site since October 21st of last year. Almost five months! I knew it had been a while but wouldn’t have guessed it had been that long. I have been writing though – both erotic and some longer more commercial stuff – it’s just that I haven’t finished any erotica.

It’s been a busy time – first the holidays and then the onslaught of guests that descend on South Florida from the middle of January until well into March. And now we have the college spring breakers…

And I’ve been doing other things – a restaurant/bar business I’m investing in on top of some house scavenging I’ve been doing in the foreclosure market. If you have cash you can pick up properties at extraordinarily low prices. Those continuing ROYALTIES have been a godsend!

And my complicated family life has been especially convoluted these last few months. Sometimes I can’t help but feel that ex-wives shouldn’t be allowed. That the state should automatically put them out of their misery the second the decree is signed! They just can’t seem to be able to grow up and move on.

And of course the joke that LAUREL has made of the special contests has sapped my motivation to continue to participate in them.

And yet, in spite of my sabbatical, people are still reading my LITEROTICA stories. They’re voting. They’re commenting. They’re sending me e-mails. They’re designating me one of their favorites.

The continuing response has surprised me quite frankly.

Some AH Land fool predicted a year or so ago that I’d soon tumble down the FAVORITE AUTHORS list. That I’d be passed right and left. And this was before I’d stopped submitting. Instead I’ve moved up and am more “favorited” than I’ve ever been before.

And the e-mails continue to flood in. Even with a hundred things on my plate I feel an obligation to respond to people who’ve contacted me. Gabby’s helped of course. Sometimes when I return from a week or two away and find 30 or 50 or 70 emails I wonder what would happen if I died. For how many years would the emails pile up? Is there a maximum number of emails my box can hold? How many is it? Would my account eventually be closed? Who decides how and when?

And what about those people who send the emails. What would they think when they received no reply? They’d probably be pissed off at me. Maybe even go back and vote down my stories. What obligation do I have to them?

So I rewrote my will today! I made arrangements in it that on my death the news will be posted on my LITEROTICA (and other sites) page. I’ve also arranged that every one of my stories will be edited to advise future readers that I’m dead so that they won’t waste any of their time emailing me.

I’ve also decided that any ROYALTIES earned after my death will be partly used to continue to fund the ASSOCIATION of INDEPENDENT READERS (A.I.R.), the MANU AWARD, and the 100+ COMMENT and 1000+ VOTE clubs.

I feel it’s only right to give back. And fuck the ex’s if they think they’re going to get any more blood from my corpse…

And why can't you figure out, the only reason you are moving up the top list is that several people above you in so many ways have mostly quit posting free stories here and are now selling everything they write.
