First, and most importantly, your wife wears some amazing panties! Those are... well...

Also, thanks so much for shouldering the hard task of sorting through all of the submissions. Even though I didn't win, it was a privledge to be nominated.

Lastly, thanks for the kind words about my work. As you well know, it is a labor of love.

Peace!

Thanks...She does have some great panties! As for going through all the submissions...well, it gets hard...:D but someone has to do it! ;) You do great work and everyone is amazed at how detailed it comes out. Keep pushing the limits, we're all waiting for more great stuff!

My contribution :)

Great shot Kate and thanks for posting. Sorry I haven't made it over to your thread, I promise to this week! I'd like to see this in B&W maybe, the setup is perfect for the B&W tones. Of course, the subject matter is rather nice as well! ;)

Glad you started tagging your pics now too...

This week's contribution...

I have to agree with everyone else, this is a great shot! I have seen similar, but they dont compare. It would also be nice against a wall. Thanks for sharing it Honey! :rose:

Ok, so here's one from me.

I was thinking. ....

...which usually gets me in trouble!

Lets take a few to discuss pic editing software and online freeware programs. Looking at the thread I am pleased with over 600 active posts and nearly 10,000 hits. I'm sure that there are several lurkers reading and well....lurking that would like to try some editing like they see in here, but just don't know how.

I know there are about as many editing packages out there as there are pictures to edit. So lets concentrate on what you, the masters of photo editing, are using.

While I don't put myself in the same class as many of you, I will start with a couple of programs that I use. Of course there's the most popular - Photoshop and all its variations. The basic to mid level allow some simple editing functionality, but in my oppinion can't do what some of the freeware can do. Of course it could just be my ADD and impatience that prevents me from learning how to do it!

I have also used an online free service called Lunapics. This requires uploading your pic, but provides a wealth of editing options - to include animation!

So let me hear what some of you are using. I will put all of the info together in a single post so that its easy to see.

Thanks and keep those Creative Juices flowing!

I almost exclusively use Photoshop. The only freeware program that comes close is GIMP. GIMP is great, though.

I also used to use Illustrator for some of my more complex mandala processes, but I've not been able to install it on my new computer. I've been trying to learn InkScape, which is also FreeWare, but I've just not put the time in.

I've been using Photoshop since it first came out. Illustrator, too. I'm very comfy working in their environments, and have become fairly proficient with basic tasks. I will confess, however, that I've never bothered to learn some of the truly advanced techniques I've seen others do. There are lots of great online tutorials, though.

I only used PhotoFiltre untilI was told my cropping was not cropping out everything in the little thumbnails...so I started to use Gimp as well.

The functions I use are select - crop image - resize - and sometimes Gamma Correct or shadows, if I am using B&W. There have been times that I used other things such as posterize or monchrome and with Gimp that soft glow function. But I have no idea how to smooth out skin or get rid of unsightly marks. I would be interesting to use something else, but sometimes I don't have time.

I love the new additions! The women (and Spaz) are looking great..

Does this thread only have to be for pictures of oneself? I mean.. can I attach a scenery picture I took or a sunset/sunrise??
