I am going back to NZ - for a quick 2 day visit to my mum and brother and his family in Christchurch in mid January. That's as long as I can be away between dialysises (is that a word??).

Mum is a bit disappointed that it's not for longer but I told her that it was 2 days or you won't see me at all - and I haven't seen her since Dad's funeral in March 05. I won't have time to see the kids either but maybe I can schedule another visit in a few months' time.

It will be tiring but Gil says I need to see my mum as she's getting older and he feels guilty that we can't travel. I've said that it can't be helped and I will make do with occasional quick trips back, and the kids are adults and can travel to see me instead :D

Has antbody talked od seen Lady Bird , was just wondering how she was. Didn't e-mail her as she started a new life and wanted to be in her own little world.

Seems as though the new life with out LIT is all consuming to her & last we heard is she was very happy.

Hi Ms Moon! So glad to hear your Mum is recovering!! It's such a lot of worry when your Mum is sick and in hospital.

I hope you enjoy your trip to NZ, sounds like you'll be looking forward to a break!

Thank you Calli, hope all is well with you. So nice to read your happy words when I do make it in here.

New Zealand got put off to the 8th December, so off to torture the Kiwis then. Went into the Kiwi thread to ask if it was true I needed to slip a lamb chop between my teeth and dab a little mint sauce behind the ears....laughs...oh I know I'm cheeky but couldn't resist.

Hope everyone is enjoying the slightly warmer weather, I am tired of the rain though. Had more than enough.

And Mr Gil, not one for the cricket myself but do talk with a few Englishmen on here about it....just wicked jibes....like that is why the English have warm beer, it's from crying into it when we beat them yet again. Though think I might be um.....biting off more than I can chew this match. Am putting the lip balm on constantly to my lips just in case if we lose, have a few errrr.. bets on....;)

Enjoy your weekends A/all. Hope they are wicked and long or longingly wicked.

Some of us have been lucky enough to have met the loverly Calli & she is just as she seems in her posts on here.

Oh MzMoon you need to be careful with the Kiwi jibes as BANDIT:heart: is a KIWI you know, she is venturing accross the ditch in January but only for a couple of days to catch up with her mum.

MzMoon I'm with you on the cricket, it comes under the heading of "DILLIGAF" except the BANDIT:heart: enjoys the game, this is where I get my knowledge from.
I forget who it was but it was a yank comic who said cricket was like baseball on valium & I'd need a lot of valium to watch it.

Now what is the lip balm for I wonder ???

Oh Mr Gil, the jibes are aimed solely at the boy Kiwis and just to be wicked...how else is a girlie to ensure the chances of a good spanking in New Zed? Mmmmethod to my madness ;)

Totally agree with the cricket comments you make. Though I do take a smidgin of passing interest purely to annoy the English lads....I do like to tease....it's a particular skill of mine.

As for the lip balm....well have to make sure that one never gets friction burns....lubrication and slidability (did I just make that word up?) are essential ..:eek:

Miss Moon  and Gil  Thank you for the kind words. You've brightened my day!

I agree about the cricket. I don't normally watch it or take an interest, but I have an incentive now for the Aussies to win ;)

(hmm, maybe I should keep up the chapstick as well, just in case)

Chapstick is a good idea, but after day 3, grrrrr

Well, I'm Jamaican on the Aussie thread... I hope you don't mind. :p Every now and again I wake up with a conviction that it would be fun to post on some completely new (for me) threads. This is one of those mornings. ;)
