What are you, on dialup?Yeah, I don't have all day for the excerpts to load...
Don't think it's possible.
It goes a lot farther than that. It's a totally different way of thinking about money.Satellite...
I opened it and after three minutes, I finally had the book cover...
Another minute garnered me the table of contents.
All I need to know is that HIS school of thought is pretty much in the White House; Obama's gonna end the business cycle, like that hasn't been tried before...

I skimmed a few pages and every other concept involves the government. I think the solution to our economic woes is the large scale dismantling of the bloated government, a return to constitutional structures that err on the side of freedom and not on the side of additional government power, return to a gold standard that removes the control of the means of exchange from the hands of the government and return it to the market place where it belongs. The American experimentation with Socialism and the liberal flirtation with Communism has failed.
What do you want to cut?
Stop calling for "smaller government" while advocating for little or no specific cuts of any size.
Well hell, let's start off with the IRS, institute a flat tax and say good bye to the biggest oppressive loser in Washington. let's privatize the Post Office. Let's cut in half the EPA, The Department of Energy, and repeal Obamacare. How's that for openers?

The rest...well. you need to reconsider the totality of their actions.
The totality of their actions? Like the EPA keeps cadmium out of our food? And that saves potentially legions of people from developing cancer and other horribly debilitating illnesses?
The EPA costs 10 billion, but we get some savings out of that.
Not very substantive at all.
1) Seriously, Obamacare isn't a significant contributor to the deficit. It contributes to tax burden, especially on those making 250k+. But get off it.
2) The EPA has a 10 billion budget for 2011. So you're saving 5 billion there by cutting it in half, which isn't substantive. Sorry, but the EPA is pretty cheap. Source: http://www.epa.gov/budget/2011/2011bib.pdf
3) Privitizing the USPS? That's not going to save real money either. The Post Office pays for itself and lost 3.8 billion last year largely due to the recession. Cutting back Saturday service eliminates almost all of that. This is pocket change. Source: http://www.dmnews.com/despite-budget-usps-cfo-backs-5-day-week/article/163693/
4) The US Dept of Energy has a 39 billion budget. Cut it in half and you save 19.5 Billion. Source: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/8266570/2010-US-Department-of-Energy-Budget
So you just cut 24.5 billion. And at the cost of greater environmental degradation, a less safe environment, degraded air quality (let's have air like Beijing!), more mercury and cadmium in our diets, massive cuts in America's quest to reduce its dependence on foreign oil, reduction in nuclear power and how well we secure/handle waste.
And you probably wiped out a big chunk of America's emergency energy fund. All for very small cuts that aren't going to make much difference.
USPS is losing money cuz they are driving away customers!
This should be good news yes?
After all, they didn't manage to drive Fed-Ex and UPS out of business with "unfair" competition.![]()
