Swords Sex and Sorcery (group thread OOC)

I don't have a coin lol maybe you could mesh the two and make him a half breed but I am voting more for bear ;) it's whatever you feel like writing. I have a block to make the deadline for my book lol.

Actually, I changed my mind - I'm gonna play a druid. So now we have a spellcaster, too. :p

The Athalans are a race I've developed for RP games.

They're basically a super-sized human, with added strength and stamina and an extremely enlarged life span. For drawbacks, they do not use magical items (either arcane or divine) and are extremely wary of magic users.

Because of this, they also have a deep hatred towards aberrations (vampires, zombies, ghouls and the rest of the lot...) and those who invoke/work for and with them.

Besides this, Athalans excel at hand-to-hand, up close and personal, dirty combat. In fact, this is the only way Athalans engage in combat; ranged weapons are seen has a coward method of combat and the most they will tolerate will be hand thrown weapons, like knives, hand-axes and spears but nevertheless as soon as the occasion arises they will get face to face with their foes to finish the job.

And it was to overcome the great handicap of having to face magic-wielding enemies that this people has developed and extremely advanced and complex warfare technology, with armours and blades unmatched in quality.

[deep breath]

My proposed character is basically the front-line fighter, with the necessary skills to kill whatever comes his way; being much older than the average seasoned warrior, he his also a refined strategist and is a very capable healer.

That pretty much sums it up. If more details are necessary, ask away.

I always use a starter-pack with some extremely exotic items in it, so if you want/need to control the items the characters are allowed to have at start, let me know.

Now I'll be waiting for this thing to start.

Looks good to me, what exactly do you mean by supersized though?

Hmmm Werebear or Minotaur... flip a coin? Head for Bear and Tail for Minotaur?

Wearbear

fine with me

ooo I can't wait to hear or see what he looks like I am all excited lol can my character have like one power bc that what she usually has

Just like summoning different familiars and totem animals bc she kind of a loner and has to fight sometimes if not I can totally change it.

I don't have to just my character not special or maybe instead of summon she can do weather spells to the advantages of the group.

New Character

Hi everyone! I'm here to appeal to Kitten's sense of I-need-players and see if he's willing to give me another shot.

Kitten, I realize I'm probably persona non grata to you, both my sister and I, in fact. I could explain why I disappeared, but I don't think it really matters. I loved reading Raining Blood, and wished I could have really gotten into the game, but, well, its a long story. I'll understand if you say "no" or "go to hell" or "go straight to hell", but if you're willing to let me give it another spin, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not going to disappear again. let me know if you're willing.

If you are, I'd like to play a human female swordswoman. If you're familiar with Legend of the Five Rings, think Crane Clan, Kekita Bushi. If not, she's one of those not super strong but very fast, very graceful types. She is very much a one strike, one cut, one kill kind of girl. In a fight with multiple opponents, she's got problems, but one on one, she's extremely deadly. I've got a whole story in my head, but I'll wait for the nod before sending or posting it, if I get the nod at all. I wish my sister were still around to try and get in the game, too.

In other news...

Fuckmeat, be careful about doing the villain slave thing. Its easy to work yourself into a corner. Trust me, I've seen it happen.

Super-sized means that where an average male human weighs between 150 and 175 pounds and will be 5.5 to 5.9 feet tall, the average male athalan will be 7.5 feet tall and weigh 330 pounds!

Things happen, threads die, there isnt a single thread on the SRP boards that was around when I joined thats still around now, and I'd love to say that I was blameless in raining blood falling away but I really could have done more, so I have no grudge to you or your sister.

In case anyone was wondering if I had a grudge against them, I can tell you the three people on Lit that I hate to the point at which they dont get a second chance... ok, actualy I cant, cause I cant remember their names (they've all left the site since then)

seems fine to me, still a medium sized creature or close enough

I happen to have a fondness for dark corners.

Actually I'm not going to bite. I already have quite a few threads going and so if the BBEG isn't going to be played by anyone, I shall respectfully wish you guys all the fun in the world and leave you to it.

Well I'll be playing the BBEG, but it wont be for a while, and there will be little chance for hanky panky, but when he does make an appearance, there'll be a place at his feet for you if you still want it

I'm sure I won't take much persuading when the time comes. :)

Hey, Drakkwall, what kind of werebear will you play? A human that transforms into a bear, or a human-bear hybrid?

Anyway, I´m interested, and will perhaps play a female rogue-shaman if you will have me aboard, Kitten.

I’ll probably have my character have the least experience in killing people aside from duals which have gone wrong

Thank you Kitten. Its nice to know that people can still be civil and pleasant (sorry, its been a long couple weeks). So, am I to assume I should come up with a character? And if so, should I follow a basically d20 scheme?

Actually if we go by DnD rules can I be both, Werebears in dungeons and dragons can transform into both a pure bear and hybrid bear form, though only pureblood were-creatures have any real control over it, so I am thinking of having my character beign a pureblood, but what base-race he should be am I not so sure about... I was considering perhaps halforc, human or maybe even an elf of some sort, hehe drows would definitely make an excellent choice for a black werebear.

I don't think we're doing actual D&D, I think we're just gonna mostly play it by ear. Though I'm up for both.

Well I am not saying i will play DnD literally, I just wish to make a werebear who can be both a pure bear and a hybrid bear.

This is the old, cranky roleplayer who had to go uphill both ways to get to a roleplaying table speaking:

Back in my days, werepeople were always human and animal! Not this half-orc half-elf mindflayer lich bull you youngsters are indulging in!

Meh, lycanthrope is a curse, or a virus in some places, so humans are not the only ones able to be infected. It would be really silly of only humans can be infected, they are way healthier then gnomes and you never see tiny midget werecreatures about. Hehehe weremidgets. *snorts before falling over laughing*
