yeah the Flames won the cup waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back in 1989, when they had a decent coach.

nope never won the cup, made the finals twice in 82 and 94 i think they were. i lived in ottawa for ten months, and got to a playoffs game against the islanders it was there...

hmmm you sure? i thought they won when Tiger Williams was on the team.

Ottawa has a pretty good team though....The Sens seems to have come into their own in the past few years which is good.

doncha just love the mountain of NHL coverage you get on australian television. even foxtel only show two maybe three games a week...

however, when it comes to AFL every single stupid match is on

good gawd, Foxtel should be ashamed of themselves. 20-odd channels and i'm lucky if i'll get to see 1 or 2 Stanley Cup games

well with the Ashes, they sure covered all bases (no pun intended) on quite a few channels. i dunno how many times i saw Geelong and St.l Kilda's game listed in the menu. i wish i had gotten Foxtel just before the Olympics started though

Loved the King Eddy in Calgary, a great blues pub in cow town when the stampede season is on i noted a lot of guys who normally wore buisness suits wearing jeans, boots & huge belt buckles under a cowboy hat, so funny to see them.
I called them cow town cross dressers!
