Rightwing personality traits

I don't really understand this left-wing, right-wing thing. There's the people in power (an elite few) and the people that ain't (everybody else). These left and right squabbles are just a smokescreen to keep the people that ain't distracted while the people at the top feather their nest at your expense and steal your children's futures.

LANCE we're on to you.

JBJ, I hope that you're onto Lance in a positive way and not one that demeans or ruins his self-esteem.....unless, of course, that he'd like that and then I'm sure the you, JBJ, are the MAN for the JOB......

I live for the day when you are the MAN for my JOB.................

Gee Stella, what about the arrogant ass that chaired the televised meeting in Washington yesterday?
#1 trait of a lefty? If you don't understand it's because you aren't smart enough.

What's interesting to me is in the modern US our rightwingers have shifted away from Authoritarian submission, at least in the case of Doctors and scientists. There's a strong anti-intellectual strain in the right that hates us "eggheads" telling them what is correct and factually true, especially if it conflicts with one interpretation of a 4000 year old religious text.

I am not right wing, not authoritarian, not a fundamentalist. But I will say that the scientific and medical establishment has inflicted a huge amount of bullshit on us.

Just as example -- the position of the IDSA on treating Lyme disease. Or the over diagnosis and treatment of many cancers that would clear themselves up on their own.

Or the Global Warmning scam.

Or eggs -- they were bad, now they are good?

If people are stating to doubt the scientific establishment, it is because it has fucked up.

So if "Right wingers", in the professor's opinion are supporters of "Conventional wisdom" and Authoritarian.

Are the "Left Wingers" Anti-Authoritarian and spouting un-conventional wisdom?

What about the rest of us who think both sides are full of shit and ought to go have a nice lie down?

You really need to get over the RWA that afflicts you....It's really prevalent among bubbleheads which would explain your problem with an uppity nigra......

Barak Hossein Obama is the President of the United States of America and also the Commander in Chief......put that in your panties...................

He thinks he knows what he's doing. The only problem is he has never run anything but his mouth and has no management or leadership skills.

News Flash: He does know what he's doing. That should scare your uptight white ass to death.....

Man, I hope you're being ironic or sardonic or at least a tad sarcastic. That, or you've just been watching too many Natural Cures/Free Money They Don't Want You To Know About infomercials. There is no cancer that goes into remission routinely on its own. People are living longer, right? There's a reason Social Security is a problem now and not in 1970. No one could've predicted the advances medicine has made in quality of life and longevity.

The bacteria that causes Lyme disease wasn't even identified until the 1980s, it's an emerging disease like AIDS. LYMErix was a vaccine that prevented the disease in almost 100% of children. The reason it was pulled had nothing to do with science, but fear mongering dogmatic leftist hippie bullshit. The sort of people who won't let their kids get Polio vaccines, cuz being 'natural' is more important than dealing with Rubella every other year.

As long as the scientific/medical establishment is seen as part of the ruling structure it should have no real problem. There was a problem for science for maybe a couple minutes back there with the Bush Administration, seeing as Bush wanted to destroy medical science. That really did transfer to how normal people saw things, cuz most people are super authoritarian. Probably everyone on this board right now is lock step with government and war. It's just easier accepting dogma and going on with your limited existence.

LaRocha ,your arguments would be more sound if on every post you stopped making ridiculous all-encompassing statements such as these:

That really did transfer to how normal people saw things, cuz most people are super authoritarian. Probably everyone on this board right now is lock step with government and war.

To borrow from Phineas and Ferb - "Um, no. No, they're not."

You are totally misinformed. My entire family got the Lyme vaccine -- both my children wound up with Lyme anyway. The vaccine does not work. It turns out there are over two hundred different strains of Lyme.

As for cancers going into remission on their own -- do a little internet research before you make a post. There is a lot of controversy now about over testing for breast, prostate and thyroid cancer.

LaRocha, meet WRJames, the man who has redefined God.

WR, meet LaRocha. He wants to be a philosopher when he grows up.

LYMErix [Lyme Disease Vaccine (Recombinant OspA)] is a noninfectious recombinant vaccine developed and manufactured by Smith Kline Beecham Biologicals. The causative agent of Lyme disease is Borrelia burgdorferi; in North America, all Lyme disease is due to Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto. The vaccine contains lipoprotein OspA, an outer surface protein of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto ZS7, as expressed by Escherichia coli. Lipoprotein OspA is a single polypeptide chain of 257 amino acids with lipids covalently bonded to the N terminus.

A recombinant vaccine against Lyme disease, based on the outer surface protein A (OspA) of B. burgdorferi, was developed by GlaxoSmithKline. In clinical trials involving more than 10,000 people, the vaccine, called LYMErix, was found to confer protective immunity to Borrelia in 76% of adults and 100% of children with only mild or moderate and transient adverse effects.[111] LYMErix was approved on the basis of these trials by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on December 21, 1998.

Following approval of the vaccine, its entry in clinical practice was slow for a variety of reasons including its cost, which was often not reimbursed by insurance companies.[112] Subsequently, hundreds of vaccine recipients reported that they had developed autoimmune side effects. Supported by some patient advocacy groups, a number of class-action lawsuits were filed against GlaxoSmithKline alleging that the vaccine had caused these health problems. These claims were investigated by the FDA and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), who found no connection between the vaccine and the autoimmune complaints.[113]

Despite the lack of evidence that the complaints were caused by the vaccine, sales plummeted and LYMErix was withdrawn from the U.S. market by GlaxoSmithKline in February 2002,[114] in the setting of negative media coverage and fears of vaccine side effects.[113][115] The fate of LYMErix was described in the medical literature as a "cautionary tale";[115] an editorial in Nature cited the withdrawal of LYMErix as an instance in which "unfounded public fears place pressures on vaccine developers that go beyond reasonable safety considerations."[116] The original developer of the OspA vaccine at the Max Planck Institute told Nature: "This just shows how irrational the world can be... There was no scientific justification for the first OspA vaccine [LYMErix] being pulled."[113]

There are no cancers that go into remission in any predictable fashion.

And atheists don't have to create straw men gods, they only have to dismantle the gods posited to exist by theists. Atheism is only a reaction to theism.
