Rooting for presidents to fail

Thank you Byron.

Whoever called for the assassination of George W. Bush? Right here on the GB people have expressed the desire that Obama die. When men carry guns to Obama's appearances they do not have those guns to protect the President.

Here ya go sweetie.

I always hope for anyone opposed to my ideology to fail, since success would mean that my core beliefs were wrong.

How amazingly logical and simple that idea is. Too bad NO ONE ELSE realizes that everyone else in the planet feels the exact same way.

One could make the same argument about Democratic partisans who predicted and then openly wished for the surge in Iraq to fail.

It may well be the case that some Democrats wanted the surge to fail. The fact that it seems to have succeeded makes Obama's task in Iraq easier. The only article I read predicting a failure for the surge was an article in Liberty magazine. That is a libertarian magazine.

Political vitriol and hate comes from both parties and both lines at all times. There has never been a time in recent history when everyone was happy with the candidate. Impeachment calls for Clinton, Assassination calls for G.W., and failure hopes for Obama, it's all the same crap.

Liberals and conservatives alike are NO BETTER than each other. There isn't a right or wrong camp to be in anymore because anyone who picks Democrat or Republican or supports anyone of those lying shitbags in Washington is ignorant. Politicians don't care about us, they haven't for a very long time no matter WHAT side of the fence they're on. Neither Bush cared about us, Clinton didn't care about us, and Obama doesn't care about us either. Let's just get used to it and stop pretending that one side is better than the other.

To think otherwise is to ignore the last 40 years.

Now, why don't you tell me why you're showing me that google search?

when he said this

he was DNC Chair

I hate Republicans and everything they stand for.

Howard Dean

He coulda said I disagree with em, or They are wrong, etc. He didnt!

He said HATE

So fuck you all assholes

FUCK OBAMA! I WANT HIM SHITCANNED!

Let's be real here--you don't just want him shitcanned:

when will this so called alleged "President" be taken out?

It's beyond me. I thought W was a shameful and dangerous leader. I was glad when his time was over. But I didn't spend a day of his eight years hoping that he would fail. Quite the opposite. I spent every day of his administration hoping he'd do alright for my country.

In fact, with one exception, I've never voted for any major-party candidate for president. I've disliked most of them in my lifetime. And in all that time, I've never spent a moment hoping any of them would fail.

They fail, we fail.

Dumbasses.

Well, there are many here among us who showed little or no respect for the office held by President George W. Bush, but who have suddenly found it objectionable to show little respect for a president they prefer.

These folks not only were hoping Bush would fail, they were hoping the war in Iraq would be lost, etc. All stops were pulled out when, in fact, the policies of the Bush administration, with respect to foreign policy, are not all that different from the those of the current regime.

Meanwhile:

The newest far-right craze is an anti-Obama slogan that is making its way onto t-shirts, bumper stickers, mugs, and even teddy bears: “Pray for Obama: Psalm 109:8,” which reads, “Let his days be few; and let another take his office.” The meme is also taking off on Twitter, with conservatives calling it “hilarious.” Commentators have noted that it’s unclear whether the intent is to hope for an end to Obama’s time in office — or an end to his life. But a look at the lines in the rest of the psalm hint at the latter:

Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labor.
Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favor his fatherless children.
Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth

Yes, I'll take False Equivalency for $500, Alex.

The thing about liberals is they do this standing naked in a shower and come out merely wet and spluttering. The thing about rightwingers is they work themselves up into a similar rage, strap on a .45 loaded with dum-dums, and go to political meetings screaming that something must be done about Adolf Obama--or maybe write columns seriously suggesting a military coup "to resolve the 'Obama problem.'"

Imagine if Fox News made a similar statement with the concomitant characterizations adjusted for a right point of view.

Some people's patriotism is withheld when they are not in power.

well it is true....

i got a three day weekend when reagan kicked it

think i got drunk too

So...

What would be best, if I understand correctly, would be for the death to happen on a Thursday, thus essentially guarantying a long weekend of festivities, right?

WAIT!

You mean we get off work when the POTUS dies?
i know i do
federal worker here

So...

What would be best, if I understand correctly, would be for the death to happen on a Thursday, thus essentially guarantying a long weekend of festivities, right?

Imagine if Fox News made a similar statement with the concomitant characterizations adjusted for a right point of view.

Then Fox would be telling a lie. But, in the linked article, Leslie Savan is telling the truth.

Thanks

I agree. I know so many people who believe Obama is related to the Free Masons and the one-world-ruler theory and that he is tied to terrorist people and is really a muslim out to destroy America and the world. I was with some Christian people recently who even were calling him the anti-Christ and that the end of the world was near because of him.
Come on, people, support him and pray that he can fix some of the mess left by the GOP and Busch.
