Riddle me this Lib’s

I think you're reacting the the wingnut voices in your own head.

So, what is your problem with Walmart since you now seem willing to stop avoiding my original question?

Crappy stuff.

Did you get those hearing aids at Wally World?

I SAID, DID YOU GET THOSE ...

Never mind.

I SAID NEVER MIND.

Union stores are harder to find each day. Cheap crap is everywhere.

You'd think people would want to pay higher prices for the same stuff!

I'm glad you still do that.

How's it going? Finding enough full-serve gas stations?

how are we going to "force" them to take care of it when they're already failing at taking care of themselves?

Why are they failing to take care of themselves, AJ? Is it because they can't afford to?

Seriously, AJ. This isn't rocket science. Yes, some will still not get off their lazy butts and go get the preventive care they need. How many? Who the fuck knows. But there are plenty who would if they didn't have to choose between paying the rent or seeing the doctor.

Well, when you have to pay more protection to the government than the Union, you're going to get less union!

Until they make it a law...

Then you get to stand in line for your crap and hope like hell the supply holds out.

;) ;)

Supply and demand. The crappy stuff will continue. Just like your shit talk about unions.

So, what is your problem with Walmart since you now seem willing to stop avoiding my original question?

You asked me what my problem with Walmart was in your original question?

Dude, why the need to lie so much? You really haven't devolved this much in your posting, have you?

I have never used a full service station just like you never use your brain.

I got my new TV stand/entertainment center at Walmart. Very

I got my glasses there too!

And Advil*

* not a paid endorsement.

Why are you saying that? I think I've tried to explain my point here. If the government comes up with a plan that is worse than existing plans, it seems clear to me that this is no help. Why do you think it would be helpful?

Your question is nonsensical. Why do you think it would be of no help to people with no health insurance now? Are all private plans "equal"? Are some a little (or a lot) better than others? Does that automatically mean all private plans worse than the best are of "no help"?

Seriously? Do you not see how ignorant your declaration of "no help" is?

Do you love Walmart?

I shop there quite often. Great deals and quite often convenient. I shop a lot of places. What's your point?

Did Walmart destroy "Main Street?"

Not mine. Was your main street in that bad a shape?

And like Walmart, they can run at a loss long enough to destroy competition.

Also like all evil capitalists, why would our employer continue to spend money on your insurance when he can save money by dropping coverage all together and "putting" you on the government plan?

I have never used a full service station just like you never use your brain.

Nice mature response. I can see economics is your field.

So you're ok with putting service station attendants out of work, just to save money?

I get your point that you like unions. I just don't know that you have a good reason for doing so. The private sector is 90% non-union at this point, steadily increasing over time as union shops lose business and workers. I guess everybody must be missing the obvious benefits.

Dude, I said Walmart didn't destroy my main street. How do you get to my saying I have no problem with Walmart from that?

Simple question, AJ.

It's OK. You can admit to putting words in my mouth. You won't got to hell ... just for that.

Yeah, some people can't afford to take care of themselves.

It's a community affair, not a national crises.

The vast majority of them put themselves into that boat.

Yeah, WHO THE FUCK KNOWS? You don't. Obama doesn't, hell he keeps changing the number of the precious "Uninsured."

We could do a hundred things like let individuals deduct the cost of insurance from their taxes, and for most of the mouth-breathers you're crying about, that means even more free money on their return since the rise of credits that they can apply to rent.

Unless you can quote me the math professor, you're making a purely emotional argument and you have been showing a lot of emotion in your responses to very simple innocuous questions.

Maybe I overestimated you. That's not catty, just trying to understand if you're sincere here.

For like the fourth time, people with no insurance now are that way because they can't get a plan they can afford, or that covers them (e.g. pre-existing conditions).

If the government came out with a plan that was more expensive or had more coverage restrictions, it would be "worse" then existing plans, and so would not help anybody. Nobody uninsured today would get any benefit. Tell me if you really can't understand that.

So, it would be nonsensical for the government to do that.

Instead, they would come out with a public plan with either lower prices, or better coverage, or both.

In that case, why wouldn't everybody convert to the public plan? Which was the original point of the thread...that any beneficial government plan would, by definition, take significant business away from private plans.

I didn't put words into your mouth because if I did, MissDownSouth, I would have gotten straight and truthful answers instead of defensive screeching...

Firespin, you're seeing a purely emotional response at this point.

And she's going to continue to lament that we don't want to have a conversation. We're programmed, mind-numbed wingnuts...

The vast majority, huh? I so adore the broad brushes you wingnuts use these days. Too cute.

I used to be one of them.

I know those people better than you do.

Remember, I was once a bleeding heart liberal too who blamed the white man for most of my problems...

If you did put words into my mouth ... you would've gotten straight and truthful answers?

Did you even read that before you clicked "submit reply"?

It's interesting to see who uses namecalling and insults here. Not what you'd expect, to hear others describe it.

You whore!

WalMart does not sell Rotel. Life is too short to listen to crappy A/V gear.

You mean the diced tomatoes in a can?

No self-respecting chef uses that crap!

I worked around Jets and Rock'n Roll, all A/V equipment sounds like crap to me...
