I'm staying in this mice infested house because the landlord cashed the check before the stop payment went though, although it didn't appear on my bank statement online. I'm gonna get all the repairs fixed and bill the fucker. (the legal ones, anyway)

Soo...I wanna rescue a kitten. This time of year? Tell me. Is it possible? And how long will it take for this kitten to start scaring the mice away? It has to be a kitten because my dog would kill an adult cat. She'll probably become the mommie and play with it often. This'll be cute. The litter box, ugh.

about a month or two....if it ever does? Some cats want hunt.

Kittens are not very good with running mice away simply because they are too small. Think about getting or adopting a cat that is around 10 months old or older. That should do the trick.:)

My dog would kill it in less than 5 minutes.

I've got a rescued stray that's a grate mouser. Chances are older cats will be more apt to be what you're looking for, if they were strays who had to hunt for their food.

Mix rat poison with peanut butter, put on a small plate in a place where the dog can not get too. That is your best option I think, sense you have a cat killing dog.

What Paen said, dogs who attack cats tend to dislike cats period. Alternate method, get those anti vermin sound devices, they are not cheap no but once you plug them in you don't have to buy anything else until it breaks. Cats need food and cat litter unless you let the cat find it's own outside.

Which of course you can't do with a just gotten cat, takes at least a few days before they imprint on the house and decide they want to stay. With your dog getting a cat is a bad idea, the poor cat will either live under the sofa or disapear. Now granted if your dog will imprint on a kitten and not kill said kitten your OK, problem being there's no way to know if it will happen until you get a kitten. Better in the long run to get the sound devices and traps or poisons. Obviously the last two you can't do in places your dog can get at, but then again, mice don't go where your dog can get at anyway. Under the sofa, fridge, oven and back of cabinets are the prime locations for either.

Dogs who don't like cats will rarely accept one, even through proper slow socialization. The dog would have to go through training to break him of the urge, and even then it's no guarantee.

She should take the dog to a shelter to test it in a controlled environment.

If your dog will kill an adult cat, then don't get a kitten.

I was thinking this was gonna be okay last night. I had forgotten that I took my dog to a pet store last year, and she went in attack mode when she saw a bunch of caged kittens on the floor.

The reason I was thinking a kitten instead of an adult cat was because, being older, they're more set in their ways.

I'm paranoid of rat poison in the house. No way. Can't do it. Watched too many movies.

And aw, don't say it like that (cat-killing dog). My dog has never killed another animal. She goes to attack and I stop her, plus she's always leashed or fenced in. Not very long, either.

mouse traps??

Been done. ;)

I got another this morning. Go me!

A note of caution

rat poison does not kill the rat immediately. while it takes effect, the rat could be curled up behind your closet.

so imagine the stink it would cause, when its flesh starts to rot. :(

You are here a great many hours everyday I have wondered if you even work or just collect some type of free government check in the mail. Will you please enlighten us on your situation?

You live in filth because you choose to live in the filth.

Please don't call them rats. It makes me feel filthy, although I've only lived here for 5 weeks and didn't cause the problem. Most are all baby mice.

Wanna see another?

It's time to have your meds readjusted again, saldne/DaisyMay.

So, you may think, but there's no meds that need adjusting. They affect my memory but at least keep the pain where I'm able to cope.

And no, I wasn't offended, even though you tried. Sorry.

If you have to ask if it's possible, you probably already know you shouldn't even try to begin with. I'd say negatory about the kitten while trying to resolve probs seeing how you've only been there 5 weeks (why bring a kitten in when you need immediate help?).

There's gotta be a better, faster way.

I find it hilarious that your RENTED trailer is infested with mice! LMAO!!!

No wonder your kids are fucked up on drugs.

Try getting out of the fucking trailer park and getting a job you useless twat.
