Dragon-Ball X : Descendents (OOC - Casting Call)

The Dragon Balls are seven magical orbs scattered across the Earth that when gathered, can summon the dragon Shenron who will grant the summoner a single wish within his supernatural power, including but not limited to, reviving a person who had died of unnatural causes, provided that the person's death occurred within one year prior the summon. There are certain limitations, such as that Shenron cannot grant the same wish a second time. This regulation is also applied to the revival of a deceased person: Shenron can't revive a person a second time. In addition, he can't transform someone into something that they naturally are not. For example, one of the wishes was to make an android human, but he can grant eternal life.

Each Dragon Ball is about the size of a softball and is a crystalline orange color. The Dragon Balls also have reddish colored stars inside. Each Dragon Ball has a different number of stars (the balls are ordered 1 through 7) and are often called by their respective numbers (i.e., the ball with four stars is called The Four Star Ball). After each usage, the Dragon Balls scatter randomly around the Earth and turn to stone for one year.

The Dragon Balls were originally created by the Namekians. Kami made the Earth Dragon Balls after he traveled to Earth from his home planet called Namek. The Dragon Balls are directly connected to Kami's life force, so when Kami dies or his individual life force becomes absorbed into something, the Dragon Balls turn to stone, permanently, unless the balls are revived by another Namekian.


This thread will be based 200 years after the end of Dragonball GT, though to keep it easy, there won't have been any advancements in technology. Despite this, they will only be able to use a very very primitive version of the dragon radar.

The plot will be revolving around a group of characters who are searching for the dragonballs to revive an old friend, who is training with King Kai. They are unaware though, that another external force is also after the dragonballs.

There are of course, Rules;
1. There has not being a super saiyan in over 150 years. This is because of the mixing of saiyan blood with human blood which has happened over the past 200 years. There is potential though.
2. There are race number restricitions, though these will be mentioned below.
3. I will choose what special powers you get (e.g. Destructo Disk, Kamehameha) - this is to keep the thread fair.
4. Characters don't have to be Warriors.

Race Number Restrictions
a) Only 2 Partial Saiyans - One the Grandson of Goku Jr, another from Vegeta Jr.
b) Only 1 Namek (except for NPC)
c) No Artificial Life Forms
d) No Djinn
e) One Shapeshifter based anthropormorphic character
f) except for the allowances mentioned above, all characters must be human

Goten Jr - The grandson of Goku Jr.

Master Roshi - A senile and perverted old turtle hermit who drank from the well of life...also happens to be the greatest martial artist of all time.
Dende - An old Namekian who revived the dragonballs.
King Kai - is hard to explain....
Shenron - the dragon who grants the wishes
Fortune Teller Baba - Roshi's older sister.
Korin - The Cat who control's the shenzu beans (beans which can heal)
Mr Popo - Dende's Caretaker
Turtle - Roshi's companion.
Crowder - The character whom everyone is trying to bring back to life.
Medas - The Villian
Lunat - The Villians Henchman
Malcron - The Villians other henchman.

Personality
His personality is very similar to that of the original Goku, except he knows more about the world and how things work. He knows more about girls (thanks to master roshi) but has no idea how to act around them.
History
Goten has being constantly annoyed by the fact that he was born with no tail, and has a bit of an inferiority complex as a result.

When he was 6 an earthquake devastated his home, killing his entire family bar himself. Dende, earth's guardian, felt the accident happen and rushed to help, and, upon finding the boy, took him to Master Roshi's, asking the old master to raise the young boy. Roshi, albiet reluctantly, accepted, and took the boy in, raising and training him.

During his time with Roshi, Goten met many people, some even being students of the old master, and one of these was Crowder, a young orphan who in many ways, appeared to be a much younger version of Roshi.

Androids from the old wars, soon reappeared and Goten, along with Crowder and some others, tried to stop them before they reached the main city. It was a mission they succeeding in, but at a cost: Crowder died saving Goten.

It was then, that Roshi and Dende, decided to reveal the legend of the dragonballs, having decided that enough time had passed since their last usage, that the black star dragons wouldn't return. Upon hearing this, Goten decided to find them and bring back Crowder, and quickly forms a team of his friends to join him.

Appearance: Looks like a female Vegeta, with long black hair and coal black eyes.

Personality: If she were to be compared to anyone in her family, people would say she looked like a female version of her great great grandfather Vegeta but not as bulky and acted like her great great grandmother Bulma. She is stubborn as hell, very smart and rarely uses any opprotunity to fight and would much rather think of a plan to get out of trouble. She is very flirtacious and like her great great great grandmother, she is eager to find a boyfriend...or at least a playmate.

Bio: With such a high noble bloodline in her, it is hard to believe that she isn't as haughty as her great great great grandfather Vegeta, though she can get that way and is very stubborn like all the other women in her family. She was born a fighter and being half Saiyan it came easily to her.

Though, Kilana is an excellent fighter she rarely fights and would much rather think of a logical explanation for anything. From her father, she heard of the legend of the great dragon balls and decided to look for them herself so that she cuold make a small wish, to have a boyfriend. After all, all of her human friends had boyfriends and she was pretty enough, why couldn't she?

The only downside to being having any relation to Vegeta is that she feels that she must beat Goten Jr. at any and everything she does.

Personality
Cold, calculating and inteligent are all great words to describe Jet. He's a certified genius, leaning towards cybernetics more than pure robots but that rarely stops him from being able to fix things. He's slow to anger but once there it is difficult to calm him back down. He is an incredibly hard worker constantly focused.
History
Jet considers himself part of the elite, his bloodline can be traced back to the some of greatest armies of history and he greatest warriors within those armies. His mother, Sable, has overseen his training since he was very young and many view him as a prodigy of the martial arts as well as the sciences. He's placed in the top three in every tournament he's ever entered, martial arts, science, poetry.

The legend of the Dragonballs was part of his heritage, passed down through the generations and he believed himself to be chosen by destiny to collect them, though he didn't really know what he would wish for. Perhaps a worthy rival? To aid on his quest he built. . .something. He'd seen pictures of a few warriors wearing them on quests for the dragon balls. A headset with a reddish lense that hung over his left eye. It had a built in radio so he could communicate with his mother from any distance. The device could also estimate the power of whomever he was looking at but the readings and he believed could be calibrated to locate a Dragonball. . .if he ever got his hands on one to calibrate it.

1) Is this descedent of Krillin's not as close to the others? Are you perhaps seeing him being some kind of rival, kind of like how Yamcha was in the emperor pilaf saga of the original cartoon?

2) Those who knew about the Dragonballs decided after the shadow dragon incident that they would keep them secret....i'm guessing Jet, has simply heard rumours about them which have being passed down his family?

1. Yes I don't see him as particularly close to the others. He takes more after his mother and her side of the family. So yeah youre basic assessment of that isn't wrong at all.

Okay, i'm quickly gonna advertise the game to a few people, to try and get a few more players, but failing that, when CountV gets his profile up, I'll sort out powers and then we can begin, and if anyone else wants to join after we start they can, and they can be ppl we randomly meet along the way.


Also CountV, this is what i'm going to do....i'm gonna save the namek for you until the 16th, but after that anyone who wants it can have it.

I know I personally don't want to use the Kamehameha. But since Dragonball has what? Seven moves? Piercing beam (Special Beam Cannon, Dodon Ray, Frieza pointy thing) Large Beam (Kamehameha, Final Flash, Masenko), Lots o shit (Krillians Expanding Shot, Hellzone Grenade), Slicy Disc (Destructo Disk, Frieza Discs) and self destruct. I figure if you give me four moves as long as I can go and list in my profile that Super Kamehameha= Black Chidori then I got no complaints. If ot it's not the end of the world I just would like to customize.

Okay, I'm sorry CountV, but its the 16th, so i'm no longer gonna reserve the namek.

Notes About the Powers.....Each person will get 4 powers:
1) a quick easy shooty one which is simply known as a chi blast (everyone can do them its the very basic)
2) An attack of the same strength as the Destructo Disc
3) An attack of the same caliber as Kamehameha or the Special Beam Cannon.
4) An attack of the strength like a spirit bomb or Death ball, these take a good while of preparation to do.

If you want to create a special attack, PM me and if its ok, i'll replace the given attack with your custom one....Note....ONE self created Power per person.

AFTER IMAGE KAMEHAMEHA
The wielder moves so fast that 2 other after images are made, together all 3 perform the Kamehameha attack, which mergers together and increases the power of the original Kamehameha attack by up to 30 times. The two after images then fade away.

Sable Chakram: Performed by rolling the hands one over the other it produces a ring of energy capable of slicing through anything about the size of a frisbee. Jet normally produces these in pairs.

Mach 5=Kamehameha only difference is it is performed with a single hand like the Big Bang attack.

4. Total Eclipse= Black Spirit Bomb,simply for effect it is usually positions between the target and the sun producing an eclipse.

They are all the same moves just personalized. I figure there are enough examples of Krillian creating multiple Destructo Discs that particularly since mine are smaller but if it's a big deal I don't mind just scaling it up to one big ring and renaming it the Sable Slicer.
