Going to my mom's too... and the dishes we are taking my husband is making.![]()
My mom told me, in no uncertain terms, not to bring anything, but I think I'm gonna sneak a fruit pizza in on her.![]()
How are you going to do that? Pretend it's a hat?

I did my part of the cooking yesterday evening, so I'm all set for Thursday. The pumpkin pies turned out great.Great idea!
I'll check in tomorrow during the cooking frenzy.

I usually don't participate in Thanksgiving cuz like Christmas, I think it's a big marketing ploy.
But, since my Dad is living with me now and since Grace has kinda guilted me about it....I made reservations for dinner for My dad and me at a local Country Club. Supposed to be a great spread....and no cooking or washing dishes.
Well...I do have a chicken/broccoli/rice/cheese casserole in the oven for the potluck dinner at lunch tomorrow.
Oh...and I'll be taking the oreo cheesecake I made this weekend.
Other than that....I have 4 whole days off!!!!!!
WhoooHoooo!![]()
We're doing 2 14-pounders this year instead of one Birdzilla. More legs, it seems to me, and they'll cook faster. The birds are thawed and hit the brine today about noon.
Stove broke so we're down to 2 burners so that could be a challenge. Plans for chestnut-sausage dressing as well as traditional sage. For me, Thanksgiving is all about the stuffing, and that's where I'll be concentrating my efforts, with shock and awe.
T minus 33 though, and so far everything's quiet.
Since our Thanksgiving was over 6 weeks ago, my solution to Christmas, SWISS CHALET!!!
No dishes, No cooking, only down fall, no left overs!
