Isn't it weird how when you think you are over something traumatic, the silliest thing can set you off and bring back some horrible fears.

Just from having to talk to my ex on Friday night on the phone and I had a nightmare with him in the starring role that very night and have been really unsettled ever since.

Poor Rasher got the "Quick talk to me, get his voice out of my head" demand when I got off the phone.

*Shudders* I thought I was pretty much all healed but now I wonder if I ever will be.

I'm lucky Rasher understands and doesn't think I'm a raving loonie!

Tonight for me : Tim Tams, lemonade, finances and then games.
I'm trying to unwind from having coffee with a friend who is planning a 6 month tour in Europe before going to Canada for two years. Her parents are funding a lot of it - she's not got that much saved. I hope she finds a job soon after she gets to Canada.

Tim Tams Oh how things change you relly need to state which ones these days there are so many types.

There are even pages for those who use LIT on FB & I do know several EX Aussie threaders, current Aussie threaders & internationals too. Both BANDIT & I are on FB.

We had an American lady come to the first Aussie thread G&G (meet) & introduced her to sucking coffee through the Tim Tams, she went home with a few more kilos on her that she had to work off when she got home.

busy, weekend has been. didn't get sunburnt although i was out for eleven hours mostly in the outdoors today, of course, it was overcast for most of it. was very enjoyable but very tiring as well...

Good to hear! I always feel tired Sunday nights. I'm not usually sure if it's pre-monday-itis, or if it's because I've been busy. Tonight I'm sure it's pre-Monday-itis. Lucky me it's only a 4 day week. (Though I already have Friday booked with new/old house stuff I have to get sorted).

I have a friend in America who I sent some tim tams to in the mail a few weeks back. She got them today, and I told her how to do the tim tam slam. I hope she enjoys them, but doesn't get too hooked! They cost me like $40 to post over there! Couldn't believe how expensive it was, but it'll be worth it when she finds out how awesome they are

Tribute to the First Lady of the Aussies forum – Ladybird.

Our own First Lady arrived in Sydney from Perth on Friday morning. Ladybird was joined by Gil_T2, Bandit, TopCat and his charming ladyfriend on Saturday to do the circuit of Paddys’ Markets & Chinatown before enjoying an authentic Chinese meal at the end of their day.

I had the pleasure of escorting the Lady through our fabulous Rocks markets on Sunday, around all of the Heritage listed buildings that make up the Rocks and then into the Lowenbrau Keller for an incredibly large German feast. The German band, the music, dancing, food, beer and the Sunday crowd all added to make for a really festive atmosphere.

We walked off lunch in the Turkish community festival and around Circular Quay, before jumping on a ferry for Manly. Sydney managed to put on one of its’ best Spring days and we had nothing but glorious sunshine and wonderful, light ocean breezes to accompany us on our ferry ride. More walking around Manlys’ beachside shops, and several icy cold beers in the Bavarian Bierhouse on the Manly wharf made for a great day.

On the ferry trip back to the Quay, Ladybird befriended 2 young guys & 6 young ladies who were all medical students on a short study tour from Germany. Ladybird became their official photographer for group shots with the Opera House in the background.

As the weather was so perfect, we decided to have dinner in the 360 Buffet at the top of Centrepoint Tower for the perfect finish to a perfect day.

For anyone who hasn’t met her yet, make a point of doing so. From the young Chinese child she taught to blow kisses to on Manly wharf, to the elderly group of English tourists in the Centrepoint lifts, she spread laughter and goodwill everywhere we went.

Sydney is a better place for having Ladybird visit, even if only for a short time. She spreads a bit of joy & sunshine in her wake, and never talks ill of anyone.

Thank you for the day, and the photo, I really look forward to the next time. You are truly deserving of the title: The First Lady of the Aussies forum.

Nice to see the new av. You're as pretty today as when I first met you a couple of years ago. As I said about WQ a while back, we have many examples on this site of why Aussie women are so perfect.
