Any small boy who hasn't broken an arm falling off a skateboard, falling out of a tree or playing football is abnormal.

Same here :)

I've never broken a bone, but I do have a lot of prominent scars from such things as falling out of the cherry tree and skating down a hill that was, in retrospect, just a little too steep.

I think that it is absolutely marvelous that nobody is responding to JBJ on his "The Jim Johnson Thread". Wonderful! Keep it up!

Blurt 1:

I swear I'm working on answering my PMs. For some reason everybody decided to PM me between yesterday and today. And I want to do it justice and take my time answering.

Blurt 2:

Our finances are finally starting to look better. Finally. I felt so good after I got an email from my husband today, telling me that he finally paid off the rest of his credit card debt, paid a bunch of other bills and still has quite a bit of money leftover.

We used to look at each other every month and decide who was going to pay what bill, trying to figure out how we could do it without overdrawing our accounts. And we always ended up having to put something on his credit card, at least for a few weeks. But despite the fact that everything is more expensive here, what he earns now seems to more than make up for it. I really hope it stays that way. It's a wonderful feeling not to have to worry about money so much.

Nah! Boys just break easier! Girl Power makes us tougher than boys! Grrrrr!

I'm agreeing with her...i fell off the roof of the house after they sent me to get in the window and didn't break a thing. Though it did give me a fear of heights up until last year when i jumped from that plane.

Then again my brothers didnt break anything either and they were just as big of a dumbass as i was. ;)

Hmmm lets see...I made it through childhood without a broken bone. Fell off my bike quite a few times, did faceplants into the ground, played tons of football, climbed lots of trees, etc. Even into adulthood, I've climbed up the sides of cliffs, fallen 10' onto a concrete floor, fallen down in moving water, and so on, and the worst I've had? Stitches, a fracture in a tiny bone in the wrist, deep muscle contusions, and scars hehe.

That would be. I hardly did anything reckless as a youth. I'm still not reckless. I don't even have any prominent scars (unless you count my appendectomy ;) ).

I passed my exam!!! :nana: :nana:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm not sure I could've faced another re-take!

never ever think things went okay with kids booster shots till days after...heck here i thought we were lucky, nothing yesterday and this morning and tonight her arm is swollen and red.

Just took a walk to the store. 45 minutes there and 45 minutes back through the entire town, carrying a half-gallon of milk and other groceries in my cloth bag on the way back. The weather is beautiful (I wore jeans and a t-shirt), and the town is lovely, with many old restored houses and charming little stores. The leaves are turning, too, and there are flowers and colors everywhere. Moving here was such a great idea.

I'm tired and exhausted, but it was a great walk, good exercise, and my spirits are lifted. :)
