McCain confirms Sarah Palin!

Most likely just won himself the election. I figure he was gonna win anyway but this probably cements it. Obamas numbers didn't jump a lick when he picked his VP but I bet McCains do.
It's still early but look for him to pull ahead.

mccain must have seen something
in her that... added to the ticket...

They're called breasts.

she is an elected
(80% majority)
governor...
of an energy state....

She won that election 48%-41% : A non-majority in a Republican state. And not coincidentally, the state that gets more federal dollars per capita than any other.

I will say this for her: she was probably the best mayor Wasilla ever had.

So you think women are that shallow? Are you going to vote for McCain now?

Funny. I look at the VP choice and my first reaction is that he has lost himself the election.

He keeps the Republicans and pulls in the Hillary supporters that are mad enough already. Maybe a few others that were riding the fence.

It's a defensive pick, but a smart one.

The Dems would have to be amazingly subtle to attack her as unfit should she need to step in for the oldest-ever first-term President.

C'mon folks!

You can do better than that!

Where's the personal slander?

Okay. [why do I have to do everyone else's job around here]

I'll start:

Palin in UNFIT to be Vice President, let along President, because I read on BowelMovement.org that the neighbor of her newspaper boy's cousin's Little League coach's wife has two DUIs.

I always wondered where it was that you got your opinions, now I know.

When did Dizzybooby set up his own web site anyway? Or did Littlepinkandgreentutuwearinghomophobes.com change it's name?

No offense to women, they are obviously capable, but choosing Palin is a pretty transparent ploy to appeal to frustrated Hillary fans, counter McCain's age and to show how 'progressive' the Repubs are. And to capture the votes of the beauty pageant sector, of course.

They're going to hit her hard on issues of pay-equity, McCain's votes against domestic violence legislation and pro-life litmus test for USSC nominees. I don't know her positions on these issues, but I presume she's orthodox Republican.

They've got to paint her as a sell-out.

ahhhh fuck.....
sucked into the punditry again...
never mind.

she's probably unqualified...
must be, she's republican.
and mccain's so old he's no doubt.... addled..

wasilla, hunh?

well, anyway...

you think barry's gonna like this job enough
to stay through a full term?

(track records and all...)

i mean we got a pretty old pope
and an aging dalai lama...

She runs a state, he runs his mouth in the congress and his desk...oh and a committee or two. She is an executive, Joe is a legislator. She is a woman, he is a man and Hillary supporters are pissed.

I don't think Hilary supporters are without thought.

It will probably turn nasty before it's all over. They'll be careful at first but you can't hold it back for too long.

He won't keep all the republicans. There are some out there who won't cotton to the possibility of a woman in the highest office. He won't get all the Hillary supporters. Most Dem, like Repubs, wouldn't change parties if you slapped them upside the head with a brick.

If I were a bookie I'd say he will lose more than he gains and his odds just went down.
