Myeah.
Yeah, I know, she started it, you're only "defending your country". Right?
Right, but not by actually denying her claims, but by <drumroll please> bashing someone else's country. That, and nothing else.
(not even knowing what country, but that's another story)
Hey, I like all peoples.
I have lots of friends.
When I was growing up, I had a friend, Fedelis Dangolovich. He lived in the West End part of Boston, down the street from me. I grew up in the North End.
His parents never learned the language, never left their little apartment other than for his father to go to work. They were distrustful of Americans. I felt bad for them.
Fedelis had a tough time. All the kids made fun of him because he was German and it wasn't that long since WWII.
To me, people are people. I like everyone, unfortunately, I can't say that about others. I have experienced so many people who don't like me because of my name, nationality, religion, politics, whatever, the car that I drive. Get a life. Life is too short.
We all need to get along. Isn't it ridiculous when you think about it? Here we are all living on the same one tiny planet in this great universe and we're prejudice because this one is from here, is tall, short, fat, thin, blonde, not blonde, German, not German. Nuts.
We are all just people. We all bleed. We all cry. We all laugh and we all hurt.
My passion rears it's ugly head when people start pointing fingers. I don't like name calling and finger pointing. Oh, yeah, there are plenty of people on this board who will dig up an old quote to bash me, but they will never go back to find the quote that started my tirade in the first place. They feel gratified if they bash me, instead. Knock yourself out. Better yet, go bash my stories. Boy, that will really get me going, huh?
Whatever. I'm just here to write stories. Once in a while I make the mistake of posting something in this dark cyber space of people who are here and who are just like me, no different, posting replies to what I post.
