Thoughts for the day.

1. I have a work related stress headache.

2. I have a bottle of bourbon, new type, that comes highly recommended. This bottle is just begging to be opened.

3. I bought two bags of charcoal and a bag of wood to smoke copious amounts of meat. Now I need to go buy the meat.

4. I was reading some of Carrie's posts about her knee troubles. Now, don't get me wrong, I love her dearly, but my first errant thought was to wonder if she can still give a blow job from her knees.

5. My first thought at seeing the Bijou thread was that I was going to lust after BJ today. Too bad I don't have a reason to drive the few hours and invade and ravish her domain...or something.

6. For the sake of satisfying my curiosity, I want to see Ange cooking something nekkid. Sorry EE, it was another stray thought.

7. I can't seem to write for shit anymore.

8. I think I have thought enough for one day.

me disagrees with #7.....i'm so not buyin' it!
i saw your poem for UYS. doesn't qualify as foolish in the least. dare i say it was beautiful. :rose:
and given the rest of your list, your comedic acumen is still in tact
me thinks, shorten your list or replace #7.....that dog just won't hunt.:)

Thoughts for the day.

1. I have a work related stress headache.

*sets a bottle of ibuprofen on the bar, then comes round to rub your temples*
I had a Tahitian roommate in my freshman year of college who taught me some weird amazing techniques for getting rid of headaches. And stop that - it's about hair-pulling and scalp massage. Honest.

2. I have a bottle of bourbon, new type, that comes highly recommended. This bottle is just begging to be opened.

3. I bought two bags of charcoal and a bag of wood to smoke copious amounts of meat. Now I need to go buy the meat.

How transportable is your grill? I have meat and I like to watch men drink bourbon.

4. I was reading some of Carrie's posts about her knee troubles. Now, don't get me wrong, I love her dearly, but my first errant thought was to wonder if she can still give a blow job from her knees.

Exactly how is that incompatible with loving her dearly?

5. My first thought at seeing the Bijou thread was that I was going to lust after BJ today. Too bad I don't have a reason to drive the few hours and invade and ravish her domain...or something.

Reason one: my evening just went to pieces, since the hubbies called and they have both come down with colds. It has been suggested that I find something amusing to do and stay in town tonight and tomorrow so I don't catch the bug.

6. For the sake of satisfying my curiosity, I want to see Ange cooking something nekkid. Sorry EE, it was another stray thought.

Does Ange usually cook things that are clothed in some way? All of my meat and produce is required to strip before I will consent to the cooking process.

*bagels in brassieres lol*

7. I can't seem to write for shit anymore.

I dunno, you're doing fine at the moment...

8. I think I have thought enough for one day.

Hm. I'd say if you can still correctly spell and type the phrase "thought enough" you're just not anywhere near stupid enough to give up yet. Better apply that bourbon.

How cool is that?

I have never seen you say so much in one go before I am totally floored sooooooo while I am down here .............. ?

There is a blurt in here somewhere goddamnit....

:D

Words may come or cum. Getting the erection isn't the problem, it is finding the release. When one is used to tossing off the odd blurt with casual ease, then this sense of distraction can be disconcerting.

The attention is incredibly nice, though. Thanks to all of you. :rose:

So speaking of pictures and Shanka-sama, here is picture LOLZ story for Shank.

.....

....to shoot sneaky panty pics in public places, so I can grow up to be just like Shankara-ji.

Patience young grasshopper - you will prevail - all in good time...

hee hee - great story

.... and I have to stuff everything back into the bag and leave, acting casual.

*sigh*
I sure know what it feels like trying to stuff it all back in when being rushed...

I intended to stay up with your evening shift but shattered already and anyrate where's the party where do you all hang out at this hour?

I intended to stay up with your evening shift but shattered already and anyrate where's the party where do you all hang out at this hour?

Well it looks like I'm here for at least another hour or two. Let's par-tay!

I've been diligently on another window, slogging through all the poetry reviews that I've not gotten around to for a month or so. I'm trying really hard to leave more comments, but man, it's time consuming to go through all these, especially for me, because I read poems over and over again and have to think really hard about them before I feel like I have something valid to say.

so I had to start way back in the beginning of April. I'm finally up to the first week in May, and my eyeballs are rolling around in my head.

Dammit, here I am with a whole free evening, and a command to not go home, and where are you people? All on the other side of the planet, or at least the continent or the State. Dammit. This is the true disadvantage of forming all these fabulous friendships at such a great distance - I can't just call y'all and say 'Put your pants back on and come party with me tonight.'

We'll hit this wacky little coffeehouse I know and then maybe I'll take you to My Bar... Those stellar, salt-of-the-earth regulars have discovered that they actually love erotic poets.

... I need a metaphorical car that looks muscular, looks tough and sorta thick and basic, not some fruity low-slung Italian sportscar, but a good solid frame. But it's a car that could perform like a motherfucker, like a Lamborghini, if you decided to take it up a mountain road and around some serious hairpin turns.

The one I want to compliment is no little skinny sportscar. He's a nice big strong muscle car. But on a wild mountain road at 120 mph, he can hug the turns and stick to the road like a Ghia. Kicks ass in the straightaway, too. He could take anybody out in the quarter mile.

So what car expresses that, you cool car people? ...

I've never been accused of being one of those, but there can be only one:

*says the so-not-a-car-person* well, it's pretty muscly lookin in its way. Kinda sexy and tough.

...

...

So, um. What is it?

Wouldn't do to say, 'baby, you're a car like that green one that Smitty put a picture of on Lit'. Just doesn't have the ring, you know?

Wouldn't taking them off be better? *giggle*

Well, that will happen soon enough. But I've got to get you off the couch and out of the house first, and why anyone would be wearing pants in the privacy of their own home is beyond me.

I fell asleep. I was watching the news and the next thing I knew it was 8 pm. Now I have to go make that pizza I promised ee around 5 pm.

okay, kewl. And if a chick compared you to one, she'd be saying you were fast and powerful as well as being skilled in sharp turns and challenging terrain?

Aye. Especially if she said it knowing that a car can only perform as well as its driver. All that power and maneuverability has to be guided by intelligence and skill in order to be effective.

*grin* thank you. I must say I'm an excellent driver. But it was a bit like discovering a car you thought you knew actually has two extra high gears and takes sharp turns like something out of a Fellini movie. I wanted to make the compliment a proper one.

much thanks for your help.

Ange, your nap attack has finished with you and made its way to Kansas. I can't afford to get sleepy now; I have to do more poetry comments and then find some rousing party around here somewhere tonight. Take this nap vibe back, wouldja?

Lol. I think I still have it. ee and I have both been horribly insomniac this week and it finally caught up with me. I just made the pizza in a half dream state. I'm afraid I'll pull it out and discover I put M&Ms on it.

LOLZ!

Sounds like me in the morning. More than once I've tried to pour coffee into the milk jug. Only thing that stops me is that the hole is smaller than the one in a coffee cup.

M&M pizza. Yum.

Round here we realized years ago that they do not in fact say m&m on them. They only say M.

So we just call them M's. It's candy Newspeak.

didn't get a lot of sleep myself this past weekend, between dancing round fires and getting thunderstorms between my toes. So maybe it's not entirely your fault.

Well I do because even though my pelvic muscles are in very good nick ..... dear me don't think I will continue with this it could sound a bit gross especially in front of male guests

I did that earlier lol and missed the end of my prog actually I do it often there are so many CSIs and Special Victim Units that I may never know the endings too. I believe Leon calls them power naps and I am all for them *yawns n stretches it's 1.48 am here*

Joisey speak often adds an "s," a la "Did she go to the kmarts?" I don't do that though I have been known to drop an "r" occasionally. That's an r, not an arrhhhh. :)

We have a tv/dvd combo on this dresser across from the bed. Some of us (ahem not me) just love falling asleep with it on. And some of us (ahem not him) have to pry the remote from sleeping fingers. Every night!

We've just had to get a new remote because someone who shall remain nameless falls asleep in the chair and keep dropping it so it finally gave up the ghost

Well, good morning, then! I'm currently putting off going to dinner, as it's now almost 8 pm here. Wacky.

Sometimes the simple fact that we live on an enormous ball just blows me away. But then I did a lot of acid in the 60's, so maybe it's just a flashback.

'in good nick' is adorable. That's an example of the sorts of phrases I want to steal from you. Pretty soon Kansas is going to sound all british.

I certainly hope you're watching porn. Or Circque de Soleil, at least.

I do a very reasonable Boston accent, having lived there for about a year and having family that was there for ages. I friggin' love that 'aaaah' of yours.

My bro was in college there. During a visit he took me to this convenience store near campus, run by a local character he wanted me to meet. They guy behind the counter was indeed a character, and at one point, after being introduced, he said, in a gorgeous, Bostonian gravel-and-Marlboros east coast growl, "So this is yuh sistaaaah? Does yuh sistaaaah want a pay-uhhhh?" And hands me a pear.

I think he did it on purpose, just to give me the complete feast of that accent.

You drop your r's as much as you want around me. I miss it.

I miss the northern accent too. Sometimes I watch Fargo just to remember the voices I grew up with.

And cause I love the woodchipper scene.

So I'm balancing on this little makeup table and trying to angle myself into the frame of the mirror, and I take a picture and look at it, and the flash reflecting in the mirror has completely obscured the image. It looks like a supernova with knees. Lolz. I try to angle the camera (my understanding of the physics of reflection and light and mirrors and such is rudimentary at best) but the flash in the next one is just as bad, and now the picture is so off center it looks like a supernova with one elbow. Lolz! So I struggle with the camera but I haven't got the directions because the genius who loaned it to me threw away the instructions. So I don't know how to turn off the flash, and I can't find a button on it anywhere with a clear marking that says "THIS BUTTON TURNS THE FLASH ON AND OFF" so I'm lost.

*snort*

I need a volunteer to shoot sneaky panty pics in public places, so I can grow up to be just like Shankara-ji.

I somehow doubt that you'd have trouble finding volunteers.

That Pantera does look pretty muscular in its way, but I like the poetic ring of a Mustang, for its manly implications. So then: If I told you you fuck like a 73 Mustang, would you be properly flattered? I would hate to insult through ignorance.

thanks for the tips.

bj

I would be fine with it, though I'd suggest 71 or 72. 73 was the last year for the body style and was de-nutted due to emissions issues.

Thoughts for the day.

7. I can't seem to write for shit anymore.

This implies that you could write for shit at some point. This puts you ahead of most people who have never been able to write for shit, and gives you the hope that you could return to that place where writing for shit occurs.

-----

And I had a moment this evening. I was talking about "Anubis Gates" by Tim Powers, and how it had Coleridge as a character, and my lovely MIS turns to me and says "Who?".:confused::eek:

It seems her school system never really touched on Coleridge. Nor a lot of the poets from that period. So I sat there and held forth on Coleridge and Shelley and a few others, then hit the internet for some impromtu readings of "Rime", "Xanadu", "Ozymandias", etc.

It struck me that my short time as a English Major was apparently well spent if I could natter on about English poets some 15 years after my last English lit class.

I've never been accused of being one of those, but there can be only one:

1994 Camaro Z28.

Okay, here we part ways. If I'm going for F-Body in that year range it has GOT to be a Firebird Formula, preferably the NHRA version. Chevy did some truly unforgivable things with the stock tires and suspension tuning on the mid to late 90's Camaros that made them wallow around like drunken sows. The Firebirds were MUCH tighter.

*snort*

I somehow doubt that you'd have trouble finding volunteers.

Yeah, it's finding the ones who won't walk right back into the bar and yell, "Hey, guess what we just did? Wanna see?" that's a bit more challenging.

Not that that would be a HUGE problem, really.

I would be fine with it, though I'd suggest 71 or 72. 73 was the last year for the body style and was de-nutted due to emissions issues.

Hmmm. Can't have any implication of de-nutting going on. Or emissions issues, for that matter, though if I were to be honest...

but no.

Does a vasectomy count? It's not really a de-nutting, as such.

This implies that you could write for shit at some point. This puts you ahead of most people who have never been able to write for shit, and gives you the hope that you could return to that place where writing for shit occurs.

*nodding, nodding* indeed. Concisely put.

Well spent and obviously well remembered.

We do know a lot of weird stuff, don't we?
