A dear dear friend died today. One of Portugal's great artists lives on in the memory and joy he brought to his friends, colleagues and students and the wonderful lithographs and prints he produced over a long and distinguished career.

Rest in Peace, Barto - know we wear your friendship with pride. :rose:

got the blues real bad; listening to Billie's voice helps ease the pain

The Blues suck, they absolutely do. I don't know about you, but I find that crying them out is the best cure. Why? Dunno. Don't have any problem with tears, myself, so it works for me.

Then, once you've washed your face and taken a few deep breaths, go for a walk. Go someplace nice, like a park. Take a dog with you. If you don't own a dog, do you have a friend whol will let you borrow one? Make is a somewhat small dog, they have lots of enthusiasm, or a puppy would be better. Even if you are normally a cat-person, wathing a small dog explore a walk is joyful. They get such delight out of every smell, every leaf pile, everything.

Sometimes I honestly believe that we have evolved into a commenseral state, people and dogs. I sure wouldn't be without one.
