It is the subject of such strong taboo's across cultures for a variety of very good reasons that the pro-incest crowd like to obfuscate with references to Animal Planet that don't stand up to any intelligent examination. But hey, people who are obsessed by something they know deep down to be wrong often engage in very creative mental gymnastics to feel better about indulging in the activity.

Anyone who sexualises the parent/child and other family relationships either in reality or in fantasy is taking erotica to a totally unacceptable place. The reality of incest is broken lives, shame, and physical and emotional wreckage. "Consenting adults"? Bullshit. Selfish, thoughtless people with no concern for those they would carelessly call their "loved ones" and the impact their actions have on others. Look at the Father and Daughter here in Australia that were in the media recently. You tell me those two are a model of healthy mental and emotional development. And how about The Fritzl's? Some thoughts and urges need to be recognized for what they are - dangerous and inappropriate. Like pedophilia. The reality of incest is that in most cases it starts out with a party who is under-age or at the very least under the significant influence of the instigator who uses that influence in what is a predatory and unacceptable manner. Every time I hit the "new posts" button on this forum I get a reminder that there is a chunk of people who think "Incest is Best". Promoting the deviant, damaging and predominantly illegal activity by glorifying it in an open, public forum is ridiculous. I am gobsmacked continuously that the forum owners allow it when underage sex and beastiality is not open for discussion on the forum. The difference is WHAT exactly?

I am far from a close-minded wowser. Largely I don't care what consenting adults do in their own homes or how they choose to live their lives. Gay, BDSDM, swingers, excrement and ejecta, cutting - knock yourseves out. I might puke or faint, but it's your life.

Some say we can't judge people by the urges and drives they experience. That they can't help getting aroused when they hear a story about a mother sucking her son's cock etc and that is probably true. But a sensible, intelligent person recognizes that such thoughts and impulses are, to be frank, just not fucking well right, and they use some good old discipline and self control and move on to the next thought or impulse. Weak-minded apologists and excuse makers who would like to think everything is OK as long as it's done between consenting adults in the privacy of their own homes are the ones who begin to indulge and obsess over it and turn it into a central plank of their fantasy life, and often their reality.

But as a parent, with siblings with kids too, I have to say that sexualising and perverting relationships between parents and children, uncles aunts and nephews nieces etc is beyond the pail and the VAST majority of people recognize that. The minority of maladjusted, emotionally under-developed and psychologically challenged people who either engage in this conduct or who obsess over and indulge in the fantasy and the promotion of it need to come to terms with some basic realities. Seriously, ask a Pshrink about the families and couples they consult for incest related issues. It just isn't healthy and it almost invariably has significant, wide ranging and adverse impacts.

But forget all that, it's just a harmless fantasy right?
