Where are you from then? We are always nice in this thread just a little fiesty sometimes.
I liked Heath Ledger too but even if I didn't I'd still think it sad for all those involved.

I'm American, lived in Ireland when I joined here. Now live in the rural Western US. Anyhow, I guess I'm a troll, but easily brought to my senses. Have a good day/night everyone.

No, I have been there many times however. You guys are much nicer than the Dutch guys in their thread, those motherfuckers. :) I did like Heath Ledger, and am pretty sorry he died. :(

Is it safe to unstaple my hands now? ;) :D

Next thing you know he will be bringing home girls and asking to borrow the car or bike.

Roz is still enjoying riding then - that's great. Pass on my hello to her please.

Done babe:kiss:

What! You are ditching us for tennis?

Haha, night Webbo.. have a good one.

Sorry hon but it was too good a game to miss, Federer against James Blake,

Blake went down in straight sets but he made Federer fight for every point... great match:)

ah, football... i'm a rugby boy.

and aussie rules...

c'mon yooo pies, etc.

Aussie rules is a complete mystery to me
Being a Kiwi rugby is supposed to be in the blood ;)
I'm starting to understand NRL though, living in Sydney it's like a religion here!

I like cricket too, esp when Australia loses....sorry that's bred into me as well LOL:D

Haha - we have a Melbourne Storm flag that Gil stole a couple of years ago when they did a NRL demo derby for the Footy Show at the speedway. The last two Grand Finals it's been displayed on our balcony! :D

HEY the Storm flag wasn't stolen it was procured to prevent it's distruction.

Go the bunnies in 2008 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for rugby in Aussie it is being killed off by the controlling body who only want rep players & super 14 players & screw club rugby  .
Rugby turning pro was the biggest mistake ever made as there is no provision to encourage juniors so all the kids are heading to play rugby league & soccer (that round ball game the poms like).

Pool / spa party sat night Yeah, I will be taking notes so the drunks can find out what happened.

NOTE to Rasher, NO rollerskates.:D

:rose:

Boy Puss is one of the nicer nicknames I have given my cat! I was also calling him Bubbles at one point....I definitely think the other neighbourhood cats were laughing at him then. :D

Cricket this....cricket that.... it's all I have heard about all week. I'm Australian, but I will never understand the attraction of cricket (playing or watching).

I'm out to watch my boyfriend at his band rehearsal tonight - it's the first time I've been invited! I think I'll have to dress appropriately - groupie chick! (Just to make sure he takes me home :nana:)

I can see how the innocent term "blowing bubbles" could cause issues, so I guess "boy puss" was a smart move.

Well Warnie did try to bring more interest to cricket by encouraging the public to SMS him. Funny how only women responded.

Well as a groupie chick if he didn't take you home I'm sure someone else in the band would of. Afterall you can't leave a groupie out there to get cold.

My thoughts are with you both WQ and Dark Elf. WQ, I've stood at the edge of the black hole several times and know how real the pain is.. I'm glad you're still here with us.

Dark Elf, I won't intrude on your privacy but hope that your health problems respond to treatment, and you're with us for a long long time. My ear and shoulder are only a pm away if you'd like a faceless friend to chat too.

Funny how things come in threes isn't it. Someone I've cared for for several years, but who worked overseas, is now back home for good, and is with me. After years of waiting we're finally together, and a few weeks ago he was diagnosed with a couple of malignant brain tumours. He's receiving treatment which is knocking him around badly. Just doesn't seem fair does it?

But life goes on. We all have our battles to face and fight. WQ and Dark Elf.. I hope your battles are brief and victorious. :rose:

Hey Lady B,

Thanks for the offer, much appreciated. I'm just one of those people who is used to dealing with things on my own. My health issues will be long term, but not too serious at this stage unless I don't do something about it. It's just getting used to what I have to do. But I always thrive on a challenge. I suppose you have to die from something, at least I have options.

My dad had cancer so I know what you're going through. The tumour was too far gone as we found out later on. But treatments are better these days. It certainly is a battle of the spirit as well as the medical side of it. And it impacts all those in the immediate group. It isn't just the patient that is impacted by the situation. As you say life certainly does go on which I guess is the motivation one day more and then another one and then another...

Hope things get better :rose:

Evening all,

Another week nearly done and it's pay day so that should be cause for happy tones.

Lots of people in Melbourne due to the tennis. Plus the school holidays are still on so crowds abound. Still warm here not much rain though.

Take care
