What = no cricket??? ;) :D :p

We watched the cricket here - it could almost have had a happy ending, but was a good game all the same.

Let me share this email with you, I love it -

- MEDIA RELEASE -

From the International Cricket Council
For immediate release (especially in India)

The ICC have announced several changes to the playing conditions for the forthcoming 3rd test in Perth between Australia and India. These changes include:

* India must win.
* The umpires shall be nominated by the Indian team. It will be acceptable if reserve Indian players rotate as umpires.

* During the game all appeals shall be referred to the Indian management team and the Indian media contingent prior to any decision being made. (This includes where an Indian player may appear to the naked eye that they have been bowled.)

* When the Indian team is batting the boundary rope shall be moved inwards 20 metres.
* Australian bowlers shall bowl under arm.
* India must win.
* Any time Ricky Ponting is on the field he shall be restrained in a full length strait jacket and muzzled.
* Any Australian spin bowler must advise the batsman in advance what type of delivery is going to be bowled.
* At any time Andrew Symons is on the field he must where a gorilla suit and accept any sledging in the light hearted manner that this is intended.

* India must win.
* Harbhajan Singh will be cleared on appeal and be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
* Indian batsman may be permitted to use larger bats.
* Australian batsmen may use a bat every fifth over.
* Australian fieldsman should praise every batting attempt by the Indians by saying "Good shot chaps." Apart from this Australian players are not permitted to speak.

The ICC and the BCCI hope that all Australians will understand these minor changes are intended in the best interest of the game.

The ICC would also like to announce that Steve Bucknor has been appointed as the ICC's new cricketing ambassador to Kazikstan. The ICC wishes Steve all the best in this important, newly created role.

RIP International Cricket.

Hehe Gil got sent it and he forwarded it to me and I sent it on to my son who is a mad cricket fan :D

*Grins* I know Australia is my adopted country but it's very hard to break the habit of a lifetime and not barrack for the other team....;)

WQ, I am glad you're still with us. :kiss:

I have considered doing it myself, quite a few times. But didn't do it. Why? My whole body is fucked (a heart attack is only one of the consquinces of missing a whole days worth meducation. I know I wont be around muc longer anymore, I'm not in a hurry to end my pain anymore. My life of suffering is for a reson. to that I don't know what.

I am not judging you, you should already know I look at you with fondness, but I do know the pain of a suffering life, WQ you are not alone.

Evening lurkers...

Just a note to let you know I am still alive and well. Am working hard, have been in my new job for 3 months now and am loving it, however I don't seem to get as much time to spend online lately.

Hope all are well and everyone that is having hassles gets through them very soon.

hey, WQ. :rose:

i hope the following brings a smile to your face -- it did mine. :) a Karratha diary, written by a pom.

August 31.Just got transferred with work into our new house in Karratha W.A.Now this a town that knows how to live!
Beautiful sunny days and warm balmy evenings!What a place! I watched the sunset from a deck chair on the verandah
It was beautiful.I have finally found my home.I love it here.

Sept 13.Really heating up.Got to 35 today.Not a problem.Live in an airconditioned house.Drive an airconditioned car.What a pleasure to see the sun every day like this.I am turning into a sun worshiper.

Sept 30.Had the back yard landscaped with tropical plants today.Lots of palms and rocks.What a breeze to maintain.No more mowing lawns for me.Another scorcher today but I love it here.

Oct 10.The temperature has not been below 35 all week.How do people get used to this kind of heat? At least today its kind of windy but getting used to the heat is taking longer than i expected.

Oct 15.Fell asleep by the pool.Got third degree burns over 60% of my body.Missed 3 days of work.What a dumb thing to do.I learned my lesson though.Got to respect the old sun in a climate like this.

Oct20.Imissed Kitty (our cat) sneaking into the car this morning when I left for work.By the time I got to the hot car for lunch Kitty had died and swollen up to size of a shopping bag and stank up the $3000 leather upholstery.Itold the kids that she ran away.The car now smells like Whiskettes and cat shit.I learned my lesson though no more pets in this heat.

Oct 25.The wind sucks.It feels like a giant F---ing blow dryer.It is as hot as hell.The home airconditioner is on the blink and the AC repairman charged $200 just to drive over and tell me he needed to order parts.

Oct30.Been sleeping outside by the pool for three nights now.Bloody$600 thousand house and we cannot even go inside.Why did I ever come here?

Nov 4.Its 38 degrees.Fnally got the airconditioner fixed today.It cost $1500 and gets the temperature down to 25 but the bloody humidity makes the house feel like its 30.Ihate this stupid F---ing place.

Nov 8.If another wise arse cracks "Hot enough for you today" I am going to F---ing throttle him.F---ing heat.By the time Iget to work the car radiator was boiling over my clothes are soaking wet and I smell like baked cat.

Nov 9.Tried to run some messages after work .Wore shorts and sat on the black leather seats in the car.Ithought my arse was on fire!I lost two layers of flesh and all the hair on my F---ing arse and my legs.Now my car smells like burnt hair ' fried arse and baked cat.

Nov 10.The weather report might as well be a F---ing recording .Hot and sunny.HOT and sunny.Hot and F---ing sunny Its been too hot to do anything for two damn months and the weatherman says it might really warm up next week.Does it never rain in this F---ing place?.Water rationing will be next!My$5000 worth of palms just might dry up and blow into the F---ing pool.Even the palms cannot live in this F---ing heat.

Nov 14.Welcome to hell!Temperature got to 41 today.Now the airconditioner has gone in my car.The repairman came to fix it and said "Hot enough for you today"? My wife had to spend the $2500 mortgage payment to bail my arse out of jail for assaulting the stupid bastard.F--k Karratha ! what kind of a sick demented F---ing idiot would want to live here?

DEC1.What????? THIS IS THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER YOU ARE KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening all!
I hope everyone is well and happy.
:rose:

I had my ingrown toenail fixed today at the podiatrist....it cost $64but at least my toe doesn't hurt now like it has been :eek:

Now I have to wear some lifts under my toes to stop it banging on the ground...lol I have gnarly bent toes that is the problem! :eek:

Ouchies! I have to admit, a good podiatrist is worth every penny. Feet are so important - and yet always seem to be the part of our bodies which get the least attention paid (that is, until they hurt!)

Speaking of people worth their cost - I've just finished listening to my singing lesson I had this afternoon. :eek: I recorded it with my mp3 player... lesson #3...I still sound HORRIBLE (though it's very funny to listen to!). My teacher manages to make me feel like I'm doing okay. It's so much fun!

i'm havin' real trouble visualising toe-lifts...

how does that work? seriously. :confused:

I'm great (as usual) - just going a little potty with my cat yelling at me non-stop. He's as loud as a baby crying. (but fortunately, he's a cat and I can lock him in the other 1/2 of the house to keep myself sane!) :eek:

wow, that took some time. that were yesterdays post.

what's up with the pussy?

er...

ya know what i mean!

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Aussies!!

A good night here. My man, dinner, plonk - and now bed. </snigger>

Take care, be happy and hey................. ain't life grand. :D
