Movie is pretty bleh to me.

Tom Cruise is a whackjob...other than that...the movie is fairly accurate to the book. Louis is depressed at the beginning of the book, the middle and the end.

I know that, my mom was obsessed with those books. I just didn't care for the story itself.

The story is depressing. But, if you know what Anne Rice's life was like when she wrote the book, then you get the idea that the whole idea is an anodyne.

Now she writes crap.

Well I was never into it.

There are a lot of bad books series out there.

She may write crap now but I'm sure after all the people that she's lost in her life she's got no energy to really write much.

That too. She seems to have gone off the deep end though. Mostly I just thought that she desperately needed an editor.

Have you ever noticed that the more famous an author becomes the less likely they are to actually require an editor? Its like they know you'll buy the book anyway so why pay someone to correct it?

Drives me barmy I swear.

Yeah and the more famous you are the less you actually have to work. I look at some of Piers Anthony's stuff and as HOW did that get published?
